ProgramSupervision

1. Supervisecampersandworkwithinestablishedsafeboundariesforourstaffteam2. Setpositiveandenthusiasticexamplesforvolunteersandcampers.3. AssisttheCreativeArtsDirectorandDayCampCoordinatorintheplanning,settingand

implementationofcampgoals,includingprogramcurriculumandschedulesforavarietyofarts:

a. VisualArtsDayCamp:drawing,painting,sculptingb. TheatreArtsDayCamp:setdesign,props,lighting,supporttech.

4. AssisttheCreativeArtsDirectorandDayCampCoordinatorintheplanningandpreparationofafinalArtShowand/orTheatreProductionforfamiliesandcommunitymembers,whichwillshowcasewhatthecampershavelearnedatcamp.

5. Prepareandleadphysicalactivitysessions(BodyBreak)forthecampers.GeneralCampDuties

1. Beresponsibleforthevolunteersandcampersunderyourcare.a. Knowwherecampersareatalltimes.b. Ensureasafe,respectful,andfunenvironment.c. Befamiliarwithcampers’allergiesandotherspecialneeds.

2. SharetheGoodNewsofChristthroughyouractionsandattitudes.3. Prayforcampersandtheirfamilies.4. EncourageeachcampertodevelophisorherfullpotentialasGoddesignedit.

a. Helpthemproblemsolveinterpersonaldilemmas.b. Provideopportunitiestodiscoveranddeveloptalents.c. Teachthemhowtomake“healthy”choices.

DailyCampProgram

1. Comewellpreparedforeachday.2. Preparelessons,crafts,games,physicalactivities,songsandotheractivitiesreinforcingthe

themeofthedaywheneverpossible.3. Requestandgathernecessarysuppliesandequipmentwellinadvance.4. Assistwithsetupandcleanupatthebeginningandendofeachcampday.5. Takeresponsibilityforanareaoftheprogramaccordingtoyourskillsandcampneeds.6. CompleteothertasksasassignedbytheDayCampCoordinatorortheCreativeArtsDirector.

StaffTeam

1. Participateinallstaffdevotions,meetings,training,andsocialevents.2. Supportandencourageeachother.3. Prayforeachother.4. Promoteunity.5. Problemsolveinterpersonaldilemmas.6. Workinterdependently.

Accountability

1. ToGod–weareaccountableforallwesayanddoasweserveHischildren.WestrivetolivelikeJesusinourdailylives(honouringGodinwhatwesay,doandthink).

2. Submitdailyandweeklycampevaluations.3. FinaldecisionsrestwiththeCreativeArtsDirectorinconsultationwiththeExecutiveDirector.4. ConsulttheDayCampCoordinatorand/orCreativeArtsDirectorforadviceanddirectionin

questionablesituations.5. CommunicaterelevantinformationtootherstaffandreportcriticalincidentstotheDayCamp

CoordinatorortheCreativeArtsDirectorbeforedocumentinginformationontheIncidentReport.

6. Completeallevaluation/reportformsasrequestedbytheDayCampCoordinatorortheCreativeArtsDirector.

7. Communicatewithprayersupportersmonthly.TheIdealCandidate

1. Possessesexceptionalorganizationalandcommunicationskills,andhasapassionforseeingCanada’syouthbecomelifelongfollowersofJesusthroughthemediumofcreativeartsand/orphysicalactivityandhealth.

2. Thesuccessfulcandidatewill:a. Haveavibrant,mission-mindedfaith.

b. BeanactivememberofaChristianchurch.c. 16-25yearsofage.d. Beacurrentfull-timestudent(ifyouvolunteerforthesummerthisrequirementis

ArtsDayCamp,oneweekofcleanup/prep,twoweeksofTheatreDayCampandoneweekofwrapup.

o TherewillbeoneeveningrequiredduringTheatreArtsDayCampfortheProduction.2. Pay:$11.40/hourforthe7weeks,4%vacationpayincludedineachpaycheque.
