JCI Senator Felix Gong was thenappointed as the Chairman of the Protem Committee to head the formal registrationof JCI PJ and the setting up of the Chapter.
After a year of hard work of the late Dato Patrick Wong, JCI Senator D.J. Lourdes,JCI Senator Felix Gong and the Protem Committee, JCI PJ was successfully

On 3 November 1989, JCI PJ signed Sisterhood Pact with JCI Higashiiruma of Japanforming our first sister chapter relationship and in 1994 we signed another SisterhoodPact with JCI Taoyuan of Taiwan at JCI World Congress in Kobe, Japan. Since theforming of sisterhood with JCI Higashiiruma and JCI Taoyuan, the 3 chaptersmembers have visited each other almost every year and have organized manyactivities and gatherings for its members to fellowship and learn from each other.
In year 2000, with the support and donation from our Past Presidents and members,JC Clement Ong the President then lead JCI Petaling Jaya to achieve an importantmilestone by acquiring a secretariat office located in Sunway Mas, Petaling Jaya. This physical building now becomes our resource center and is utilized to hostprograms and meetings for members and the community.
Since its inception, JCI PJ has produced many outstanding leaders andentrepreneurs. Because of the strong foundation that our predecessors have laidand the many achievements that we have gained, JCI PJ is regarded as one of themost outstanding chapters in Malaysia, having been established for 33 years.
Our founder, the late Dato Patrick Wong, a man of wisdom, principle and courage iswell-respected by not only members of JCI Petaling Jaya, but also all who knows himpersonally. His courage to initiate change and to share, his perseverance andundaunted persistency is way beyond any layman can do.
Just like our founder, each JCI Petaling Jaya member shares the belief that in orderto create lasting Positive Change, we must have the Courage to learn & try newapproaches, undertake different challenges, go beyond our capabilities, stand up to

ethical principles, face various obstacles, accept criticism and improve ourselvesincluding the world around us.
JCI Petaling Jaya has always initiate business visits to local corporations, to create
opportunities for members to learn and seek guidance from successfulentrepreneurs. This has always been one of our usual learning approaches.
However, starting year 2010 and under the leadership of JCI Petaling Jaya 2010President, JC Kenneth Fong; to commemorate our late founder and to learn his wayof success, we decided to officially incorporate the principle ofCOURAGE as the wayof JCI Petaling Jaya.
Courage is the ability to face difficulty, danger, uncertainty, or pain without beingconquered by fear. Courage is about setting aside your fear and taking action for thegood of yourself or someone else. Courage is a way of life. Its a matter of routinemore than anything else. With courage in our members, there will be greaterwillingness to achieve improvements.
Therefore, other than hosting JCI CYEA, we took a step further by incorporating newactivities to this year plan, placing top priority with regards to the network expansionand learning needs of our young members. Enabling our projects to benefit the worldis our prime objective. We also aim to be the leading chapter of JCI Malaysia throughthe inception of COURAGE as a way of JCI Petaling Jaya.
