Electricity, gas, water, waste, and now MOBILITY are considered necessary to daily operations. CTS has over 100 years of consulting experience working with

organizations of all sizes and needs. MOBILITY is the convergence of Information Technology (IT), Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Public Safety, Wireless

Networks (WLAN), and facility services.

Deep Dive Assessment Assessing the needs of the organization or single project creates a solid foundation for the services to follow: Corporate Level Assessment

Meeting with the corporate team allows us to provide insight into the dynamics of todays Mobility world and share the values of providing a converged solution. This exercise involves understanding the company’s portfolio of existing operating property types, and working with the team on developing a cost benefit analysis approach to ranking the opportunity for a mobility improvement roll-out. We also includes development of ROM budgets as a tool for planning of improvements, developing procurement synergies and creating strategies for maximum savings.

Venue Level Assessment On a project specific basis, we begin by providing an analysis of the building’s physical properties from exiting drawings, existing RF environment both outside and inside the venue (predictive if new construction) and then using detailed reporting we summarize the data for determination of need as well as a conceptual approach to solutions.

Guided Design Services Detailed On-Site Survey

Collection of real time RF environment information is used to tune the design accuracy by predicting (1) the interplay between existing outdoor signal with the proposed new indoor signal enhancements, and (2) showing the way the signal will move through the various interior walls, thus providing the best solution with minimal equipment required .

Entitlements Research Is necessary for determining location based requirements and timeframe from the authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ’s).

Kern Davis serves as Vice President of CTS Consulting Services Group and

has been with CTS since 2005.

Communication Technology Services, LLC was founded in 1990. Today, we are a privately held company recognized as a premiere nationwide integrator by the wireless service providers , made possible by more than 400 employees nationally, and a proven history of more than 6000 successfully completed Mobility projects. Maintaining a small company feel during continuing growth is important and the company’s advantage has been our ability to learn from and apply experience and best practices across all regions, while remaining locally reactive to the needs of our customers. We maintain a turnkey, technology agnostic approach. The natural evolution for us was to bring together experience, industry relationships, and resources to create the Consulting Services Group. CTS Consulting Services Division augments customer internal teams and assists customers by providing Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to educate and assist with the process of providing “best fit” Mobility solutions for venues from ground up through continued updates, improvements, and maintenance. Our goal is to be the trusted partner to the customer. Integrating CTS services early in the process ensures customers receive better information for site acquisition and legal processes, more accurate budgeting and detailed scheduling information earlier in the process. We have proven capability and expertise in Design, Planning, Construction Services, System Performance and Maintenance. Consistently proving our ability to (1) Define the needs of the project, (2) Provide a detailed comparison and analysis of the available technology solutions, and (3) Demonstrate understanding of the Construction Process, has risen CTS to be an industry leader.

Design-Build-Monitor-Maintain CTS has offices in 23 major cities throughout the US to support first-responder Signal Enhancement requirements with dedicated teams of engineers and technicians ready to Design, Build, Monitor and

Maintain Passive and Active DAS networks which support Public Safety.

Design NFPA and IFC Standards are the two primary national agencies with publications serving as construction requirement guidelines regarding public safety and first responder efficiency and effectiveness within structures. Both offer suggestions on continuous uninterrupted operation of first responder radio systems in buildings where first responders require access. These “guidelines” have been developed for distribution, review, consideration and adoption by state and local municipalities or Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s). Each AHJ’s level of responsibility can be different with one or more of the first responders in the network possibly providing another layer of review and/or approvals.

Build Pre-Construction Understanding and navigating First Responder Requirements for in-building communications systems to meet local requirements regarding Public Safety is essential to the successful, on-time completion of today’s construction projects. Remodel Remodeling an existing building can vary in complexity. Upgrades to meet requirements can be as simple as adding on to existing systems or retrofitting. However, understanding the elements of a proposed remodel which might trigger a much larger upgrade can make all the difference for projects remaining within budget and time constraints.

Monitor Our 24/7/365 Network Operations Support Center (NOSC) personnel offer constant monitoring of CTS installed and maintained DAS systems using stat-of-the art tools to provide customers uptime analysis, reporting and alarm notifications.

Maintain Once a system is fully installed and operational, we offer a suite of services to maintain optimal performance throughout its life cycle. Our Maintenance and Monitoring (M&M) Program offers multiple service levels to fit each customer's specific requirements and budgetary constraints. The NOSC is responsible for communicating with our 23 regional offices to offer quick and effective response times for dispatch, repair, and periodic maintenance of all systems.

Site Survey & RF Benchmark Services During surveying we perform a Feasibility of Deployment Assessment, Morphology Classification and identify any Design constraints. RF Benchmarking identifies any Macro signals currently present inside and perimeter of the coverage area and are used in determining handover locations with the Macro. If there is an shared network we will preform a Data Network Analysis (DNA) to gather information about delay, jitter, loss, etc. CW Testing is also available.

Design Using the information collected during the Survey our design team puts together a complete Design Package. Small Cell Designs are created using the Industry standard iBwave with appropriate equipment vex files. Our designs focus on providing coverage and capacity to meet the required demands for the Venue (and potential events).

Installation Esthetics count and during installation/implementation of every design we make every effort to ensure quality.

Integration & Optimization When a Small Cell design is being installed to augment an existing system special considerations and upgrades to switching can be necessary. Integration also includes Functionality Testing for CS, PS, Data Throughput, 911 Testing and Handover to and from the Macro.

RF optimization focuses on mobile voice and data performance within the coverage area, including successful mobility with the Macro network. Serval RF Data Collection walks are preformed during optimization and we have the ability to share Daily KPI results. The KPIs include: CS RET, CS ACC, PS RET, and PS ACC. A final walk is performed to produce the Final RF Optimization report which will ensure stability and performance of the system.

Monitoring & Maintenance We enable our systems for remote monitoring

by our Network Operations Service Center (NOSC). Monitoring, ticketing, regular maintenance and even SLA contracted service are handled by the NOSC.

The BIG Deal about SMALL Cell

Small Cells are low powered Radio Access Nodes, in the ever changing Heterogeneous Network (HETNET), brought to the forefront

by big players in wireless including Cisco Systems, Alcatel-Lucent and SpiderCloud.

Small Cells make it possible for many venues to bring in cellular coverage for a

price within budget and in other cases they can augment existing DAS networks to fill

coverage caps or bring in additional carrier’s coverage.
