1312 TESTIMONIALS TESTIMONIALS
“These courses are an opportunity to guide you towards a specialty, as I felt after leaving University you should invest in training focussed on a particular
area. This course offered a great opportunity to keep up to date with current advances and thinking, and therefore remain current and able to compete.”Mª de los Ángeles Borrego Guillén (Spain) - Small Animal Behaviour
TESTIMONIALSWHAT THE VETS REALLY THINK ABOUT IMPROVE PROGRAMMES
“I felt it was time to refresh and extend my knowledge and wanted a course that was challenging and which offered the potential to advance my career. Having taken courses with
Improve before, I was familiar with the excellent facilities it offers so opted for the PgC in Small Animal Medicine. After all, medicine is an area that’s constantly evolving and is relevant to all aspects of veterinary work.”
Eliza Collins (United Kingdom) - Small Animal Medicine
“The theory backed up by the amazing practical sessions really consolidate your knowledge base, and in my
case, gave me a kick (up the backside) to crack on, read the notes, read the textbook, watch the DVD and go ahead and book in the perineal hernia repair or the salivary gland removal instead of referring it on to someone else’s practice. I now eagerly anticipate the next surgery case walking through that consulting room door. There is no doubt that attending the Improve course in small animal surgery has given me the confidence to say “well, actually, I can do that”.Marni Miller (United Kingdom) - Small Animal Surgery
“ The SAM course increased my overall confidence and enthusiasm
by expanding my clinical knowledge. The course encouraged me to read around the subjects, and I have continued this after the course. Subjects are very well covered with top quality lecturers and notes, bringing me well up-to-date.”
Bryony Herrod-Taylor (United Kingdom) - Small Animal Medicine
“Thanks to the course not only I was able to apply the acquired knowledge but also did it with more confidence.”Germán Pérez Muñoz (Spain) - Feline Medicine
“I am a 15 year graduate and thought I needed to brush up a little on my medicine
knowledge, and even though, as the boss, I was fairly confident that I knew what I was doing. I am really glad that I did it and it was worth every penny, even though, as the practice owner, I was paying for it myself!”
Brian Faulkner (United Kingdom) - Small Animal Surgery
“The most positive aspect of the course, in my opinion, was the speakers high level. Also, the lectures on weekends, which makes the course compatible with everyday practice.”
Juan Argüelles (Spain) - Small Animal Surgery
“The best thing about this course was the knowledge gained at each module, the retraining of notions that you had forgotten
and new concepts. The will to keep on learning and training is something I feel should be fundamental in this profession”Carolina Pérez Medina (Spain) - Diagnostic Imaging
“I like the fact that one can prepare at home before a lecture. This way I really made the most of the modules. Questions
within the small group are actively encouraged, making the course really interactive. I can only recommend this course!”
Christine Proyer (Austria) - Feline Medicine
“” “”
“I decided to take the Small Animal Surgery programme as I liked the concept of continuous, structured training over
two years. The group size is small, which is great, and the lecturers as well as the organisation could not have been better.”
Folko Balfanz (Austria) - Small Animal Surgery
“Thank you very much for organising this fantastic CE. It was really informative and I could use the freshly learnt knowledge immediately in our practice. The programme was very
pleasant and I got to know lovely colleagues. Simply perfect!
Judith Schönenstein (Germany) - Small Animal Surgery

INFORMATION & FEESFAQS
I don’t know if I can commit to doing the programme over two years. Can I spread it over more years?Yes you can! We try to be as flexible as possible to fit with budget and timetables, so with this in mind delegates now have up to four years to complete the programmes. If you would like to spread the course out a bit, call us on + 61 2 8417 2008 to discuss all the possibilities or simply drop us an e-mail: australia@improveinternational.com
Have you got any payment options?By selecting to pay upfront you can benefit from a 5% discount off the total course price. However if you wish to spread the cost we offer direct debit plans to delegates enabling payment to be spread over monthly instalments. See the table on page 21 for more details.
I want to register on a modular course but I may be away for some of the modules. Does this mean I will miss out?No. We understand that our delegates are busy professionals and aim to be as flexible as possible. Whilst we need advance notice if you are going to be unable to attend a particular module, we will make every effort to find you an alternativevenueanddate. If thealternativevenuesand/ordatesdon’t suit, youcanprobablyattend themissedmodule when the programme runs the following year.
Will I have to pay for anything on top of the course fee? It’s entirely up to you if, and how much, you want to spend on any additional learning resources. You don’t have to buy anything. We give each delegate a FREE copy of a key textbook to accompany the course. We also provide course information online, course notes for the taught area of the syllabus, comprehensive reading lists for each taught and non-taught section, and additional online learning resources.
