Dr Linda Abraham BSc BVetMed PhD (Lond) MRCVS MACVSc FACVSc (Canine Medicine)Linda graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1994 and went on to complete her PhD in Australia. Linda completed her ANZCVS approved residency training at the University of Melbourne and became a member of faculty in 2002. She was awarded Fellowship in Canine Medicine in 2006 and has examined membership and fellowship candidates for ANZCVS. Linda joined Animal Accident and Emergency (Essendon) in May 2013. She is a member of the European Society of Veterinary Endocrinologists and has an interest in endocrine disease including feline hyperthyroidism and canine hyperadrenocorticism.

Rodney C. Straw BVSc DACVS M(A)ANZCVS ACVS Founding Fellow Surgical Oncology Specialist Small Animal Surgery (Oncology)Rod graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1979. He became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1987 before completing a two year small animal surgical oncology fellowship in 1988. Rod became an Associate Professor at Colorado State University in surgical oncology before returning to Australia to establish the first small animal cancer service. He has been exclusively working with animals with cancer since 1986. Rod is an American College of Veterinary Surgery founding fellow of surgical oncology and the founder and director of the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation. He has authored many articles, contributed to over ten text books and lectures internationally.

A/Prof Julia Beatty BSc (Hons) BVetMed PhD FACVSc (Feline Medicine) MRCVSAssociate Professor Julia Beatty’s career has been devoted to improving the health of cats. She graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London then completed a PhD and post-doctoral studies on feline immunodeficiency virus at the University of Glasgow. Julia is an RCVS registered Specialist in Feline Medicine and a past President of the Feline Chapter of Australian College of Veterinary Scientists. Julia teaches Small Animal Medicine at the University of Sydney and sees referrals in all aspects of feline medicine. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to many text books and lectures internationally.

Dr Robert Hilton BVSc(Hons) MACVSc(Canine Medicine) CertVD MRCVSRob graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1975, gaining his MACVSc in Canine Medicine whilst working in practice. Since 2001 Robert has been focusing on Dermatology. In 2006, he gained his Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Dermatology Certificate and now works almost exclusively in dermatology referral. Rob is a member of the Dermatology Chapter of the Australasian College of Veterinary Scientists, a full member of the European Society for Veterinary Dermatology and an active member of Vetdermlist. Rob is the author of several articles and clinical reviews and lectures globally.

Philip Anthony Moses BVSc, MRCVS, Cert SAO, MACVSc, FACVSc, CMAVA, Memb AO.Philip graduated from the University of Sydney in 1986. He moved to the UK in 1990 and completed his Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics at the Royal College in 1994. Philip returned to Australia in 1996 and started a residency in small animal surgery, completing his MACVSc in 1998. He completed FACVSc in Small Animal Surgery and registered as a Specialist in 2003. His surgical interests include urinary tract, vascular, neurological and orthopaedic surgery. He has lectured at many conferences in Australia and overseas and been published widely in Veterinary Journals as well as Textbooks. Philip is a Chartered Member of the AVA and an elected Member of AO, current President of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Surgeons and an elected member of the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.

The two year modular programme is delivered over 22 sessions. Year one modules will focus on soft tissue surgery. The eight taught modules will cover a range of subjectsincludinggastro-intestinalsurgery,urinaryandreproductive surgery and ear and upper airway surgery. These modules will be complemented by four full day practical sessions.

Year two modules cover orthopaedics and spinal surgery delivered via six taught modules and four full daypracticalsessionscoveringjointandfracturerepair,bone grafting, external skeletal fixation and spinal surgery.

Diagnostic ImagingThis exciting and highly interactive 20 module course brings together ultrasonography, radiology, radiography, MRI and CT scanning in a comprehensive programme designed for those in small animal practice wishing to advance their knowledge and skills in diagnostic imaging.

The course is designed to provide a good level of knowledge in the principles and practice of radiography, radiology and ultrasonography with two additional modules on MRI, scintigraphy and CT scanning.
