To make poetry!!

Concrete Poetry

Concrete Poetry: Poetry in which visual elements play a large part in the poetic effect. Punctuation marks, letters, or words are arranged on a page to form a visual design: a cross, for example, or a bumblebee. Max Bill and Eugene Gomringer were among the early writers of concrete poetry; Haroldo de Campos and Augusto de Campos are among contemporary authors of concrete poetry.

For you… Using the idea written on your card, create

a concrete poem that represents this idea. Challenge: Use figurative language (simile,

metaphor, personification) alliteration and vivid words (imagery). Alliteration: Beautiful butterflies Imagery: bustling city streets under moonlit

skylines, damp, just-rained smell within the air Fig. language: Homework is my worst

nightmare’s created monster.

Examples…

We will use some of your best pieces to help decorate our room!! Be creative and try your hardest!
