The Pope is the one who controls all the churches in the world and controls all the beliefs. becoming the Pope isn’t easy you have to start from the bottom then work your way up to the Pope you first have to be a, Monk, Priest, Bishop, Archbishop, Cardinals, then you become a pope.

The Pope assigns jobs to every monk, priest, bishop in the world so he can maintain control. Like in the feudalism the Lord gives a fief to his vassal and the vassal gives his half of his fief to his lower vassal and so on.
