Who we are China Hotel Traineeship (CHT) is a international educational exchange group.
Our aim is to open doors for international talents to became the leaders of tomorrow in the
tourism industry.
Since 2004, CHT is offering to young professionals from all over the world to participate in
a unique traineeship experience in China. We connect students and young professionals
from hospitality schools to hotel partners in China.

Paid Hotel Traineeship Program in China
China is in big expansion within tourism and hospitality industry. Every year,
hundreds of hotels are built and more career opportunities is created.
Host hotels: 4 or 5 stars hotel in different cites.
Duration: 6 months, 10 months, 12 months.
Positions: FO, F&B, Kitchen
FO Management Trainee:
• Under the general direction of the Guest Relations Manager, responsible for
establishing and maintaining mutual understanding and goodwill between guests and
management.
• Promotes the desired work culture of winning ways of host hotels group and the brand.
• Detailed job description would be provided to the selected candidate.
F&B Management Trainee:
• Supervise the service and delivery of menu items in assigned restaurant ensuring a
high level of quality and consistency.
• Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance
requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
Kitchen Trainee:
• Checks and improves all service standards established by the company.
•Assists in the preparation of several parts of a major meal by mixing and stirring,
ladling, adjusting heat, etc.
•Some knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in preparing food on a
large scale, and the use and care of utensils and equipment.

Study week
Our program
Our program includes a study period in a well reputable university in China,
the Zhejiang Wanli university in Ningbo.
This is valuable time for participants to have a insight on the hotel
management business in the country by university’s lecturers.
Also, our study period in Ningbo aims to give a introduction to China’s culture
and language and activities to interact with Chinese students.

Requirements:
• Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• Understand that the purpose of this program is not to serve as a work program but
a cultural exchange;
• Be interviewed in-person, over the phone or via web camera by CHT or an
approved CHT cooperator.
• Training programs must be related to applicants’ occupational fields, which they
must be actively pursuing;
• Experience in relevant area will be considered a plus;
• Have verifiable English language skills and possess comprehension of English
terminology of their field, other languages will be considered as a plus (Chinese not
required);
• At the end of the traineeship, participants must provide a report of the traineeship
experience;
• MS Office knowledge;
• Opera, will be considered as a plus
Skills
• Be enrolled or graduated in tourism management;
• Strong affinity for and commitment to the hotel industry;
• Willingness to demonstrate initiative and perform shift duties;
• Strong market sense and results orientation;

Tourism College of Zhejiang (TCZJ) is a public college of higher
tourism education under the administration of both the National
Tourism Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the
People’s Government of Zhejiang Province. Among all the national
tourism colleges in China, TCZJ was the first to pass TedQual by
UNWTO in 2010. Therefore, it has been regarded as one of the key
colleges in China specialized in tourism education.

Zhejiang Wanli University (ZWU), a history of 60 years, is a new type
university with a reform on the management mode and operation system
based on average provincial universities, has been innovatively run by 10
years, and is regarded as “the practical example of modern university
system with Chinese characteristics” by education experts.
ZWU locates in Ningbo, has beautiful campus and well-equipped
teaching facilities, and has been rewarded with many titles, such as

NCC lies in a port city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, on the coast of the
East Sea. Ningbo has been an important trade port and commercial town
since Tang and Song Dynasties. It is one of the three biggest industrial

throughput in China. At present, it has become an important manufacturing

Hangzhou Normal University was formally known as Hangzhou Teachers
College which was founded in 1978, but the forerunner of the university
can be traced back to the Zhejiang 2-level Normal School established in
1908. In the March of 2007, it was authorized by the State Educational
Ministry to change its name into Hangzhou Normal University (HNU).
The university is located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang
Province, which is reputed as a renowned city of historical and cultural
heritage and “the Best Tourism City” in China. There is only a stone’s
throw away from the world famous scenic resort --- the West Lake.
The university has established inter-university exchange and cooperative
relations with over 30 universities and institutions of higher learning in
USA, Great Britain, Korea, Japan, Australia, the Philippines, and the
Taiwan region. It was authorized to enroll and train overseas students. In
addition, it runs a training program for teachers to teach Chinese language
abroad.

Noora - Finland In 2014 I applied to work in China through CIMO organization. I ended up in the Crowne Plaza in Beijing. I worked as a food & beverage management trainee for six months. In general my time was well spent in Beijing. Beijing is a cultural city and there is a lot to see. I worked five days per week, studied 4 hours of Chinese on one day and had one day off completely. Therefore I also had lot of time to go around the city. All in all the training was a great experience with lot of great people and happiness!
