Summary

TicSalut Foundation is a public agency within the Catalan Ministry of Health, whose aim is to facilitate the transformation of health and social assistance models through ICTs.

TicSalut: Technology, Innovation & Health

- The Catalan healthcare model

is multi-provider and integrated in

a unique public network.

- It enhances the autonomous

management of each provider.

- Providers are free to select their

information systems.

- Interoperability among systems

must be guaranteed.

Decentralized System Catalan Healthcare System: Current System

HC3: The Electronic Medical Record of Catalonia

A virtual space that collects and groups all important information on the

stage and evolution of a patient throughout his/her healthcare process in

Catalonia.

It facilitates and improves the work of professionals in the different fields

related to a patient’s healthcare allowing the exchange of a patient’s

information generated by all public healthcare providers, and thus giving a

360º vision of the patients.

LMS is a virtual space where the Health Department stores and

delivers to all Catalan citizens relevant online information about their

health status, promoting a more proactive engagement in their own

healthcare management.

Catalan Personal Health Record: LMS

Through LMS, Catalan citizens can find the most relevant data related to their medical

history: clinical reports, diagnostics, medication plans or vaccines, among others.

Users can also access some personalised e-services, such as the Virtual Procedures

Office (VPO) and its private space in the AppSalut website.

mHealth Hub: AppSalut & DHP

- The AppSalut website is a showroom of mobile

applications related to the health and social care fields, which have passed a previously defined and public domain accreditation process.

- The Digital Health Platform (DHP) is a clinical and non-

clinical data repository self-generated by the patients. The

Platform can show on a single screen, to both health and social care professionals, all data related to an individual user, regardless of the device that generates the data or the information system they use.
