Historic SiteIn the winter, the falls are fabulous. In very cold weather, finesplashes from the falls freeze and eventually form the famousSugar Loaf, an impressive cone of ice at the foot of thewaterfall. The ice falls light up at the end of the day, offeringa spectacular sight.

Take a ride up in the cablecar to admire the landscape,Île d’Orléans blanketed insnow, and the ice floes thattravel in the river with thetides. At the top of the falls,take the boardwalk alongthe cliff to the suspendedfootbridge and see thefrozen cascade up close.
