Eachmonth,youwillgetabillfortheamountthatwehavedeterminedisyourresponsibility.Thisamountmightbethebalanceafteryourinsurancehaspaiditsportion.Thebillwillshowtheamountduefrombothyouandyourinsurancecompany.Youareonlyresponsibleforyourbalance.

Youwillbecontactedaboutabillseveraltimesduringa120-dayperiod.Bills,collectionletters,ortelephonecallswillremindyoutopaythebill.Duringthisperiod,youareexpectedtopayyourbillinfull.Ifthatisn’tpossible,contactustosetupapaymentplan.Youcanalsocontactusifpayingthebillwillbedifficultfinancially.Wecanreferyoutoourfinancialassistanceprogram.

Ifabillisnotpaidafter120daysandyoudidnotcontactusaboutapaymentplanorfinancialhardship,acollectionagencywilltakeover.Theagencymaysendcollectionlettersandcallyoutomakeapayment.Onrareoccasions,theagency,withapprovalfromMemorialHospital,maypursuelegalaction.Thismayresultinacourtissuingajudgmentagainstyou.Thatjudgmentwillappearonyourcreditreports.Legalactioncanmeanthatyourwageswillbegarnishedandalienplacedonyourproperty.
