Foz do Iguaçu, July 19th, 2012.
CE 545/2012
To Viva Group Srl,
Greetings! We would like to inform you of our interest in supporting Viva Group Srl to host the World Heritage Tourism Expo Expo - WTE in Foz do Iguaçu.
Iguassu Convention & Visitors Bureau (ICVB) is a private and independent nonprofit institute focused on promoting the city of Foz do Iguassu. It was established and is maintained by more than 150 companies of local tourism. Our main objective is to support organizations and businesses interested in hosting events in our city. We aim to strategically develop tourism in the region, promoting the Iguassu Destination as a global tourist spot. We wish to increase the flow of tourists and improve the infrastructure and services.
Some of the actions of the ICVB are to support, capture, generate and promote events to be held in Foz do Iguassu. This support is given freely and institutionally to companies interested in conducting events. Our intention is to generate satisfaction to the promoter of the event and its participants.
We provide full support on project definition, including providing promotional strategies, recommending services and equipment in the city, supplying materials, monitoring inspection visits to the site where the event will be held, sending a representative to the location of the event to promote the candidacy of the city as well as mediating between the public and private sectors to obtain institutional support for the Iguassu Destination.
Furthermore, Iguassu Destination is internationally known for its tourist attractions like the Iguassu Falls, which was acknowledged by UNESCO as a Natural World Heritage and which In 2011 received the title of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Nature by the NEW 7 WONDERS. And like Itaipu Binacional, cited in magazines as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Iguassu has one of the largest hotel infrastructures in the country, with a total of 161 lodging facilities, which represents nearly 21 thousand beds. It possesses a broad array of structure for events, totaling more than 85 thousand m² of built area, that provides high quality services and contributes to the success of these events.
In addition to the previous, being located in the Tri-border region, where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina house more than 70 ethnic groups in harmony, provides an excellent international integration for your event.
Foz do Iguassu is emerging nationally and internationally in the event segment. In 2011, it occupied 8th national place among Brazilian cities that carried more international events, according to the criteria from ICCA (International Congress & Convention Association).
One of the main indicators of this growth is the increase in the number of flights at the Foz do Iguassu International Airport. In 2007, there were 7 daily flights from 3 airlines.

The park is home to the Falls and preserves Atlantic forest area with a great diversity of fauna and flora.
Iguaçu National Park
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Nominated as Natural World Heritage by UNESCO in 1986, it is one of the largest forest reserves in South America and protects renewable natural resources of the Paraná State.
It is possible to visit the Falls at any time of the year. In summer, there are brief showers, but the Falls have more volume and the vegetation becomes more exuberant. Prolonged rains occur between the months of September and October.
Besides the Falls, the park maintains an Atlantic Forest area with a great diversity of flora and fauna. There are about 350 bird species, 250 types of butterflies and 50 mammals species - some of which are endangered, such as the jaguar and the vinaceous-breasted amazon.
The Park can be explored through trails in the woods and by kayak and boat rides. There are appropriate areas for adventure park activities, abseiling and rafting. It has a complete infrastructure to receive visitors, like internal transport and fast food restaurants, in addition to a traditional resort.
Opening hours:Every day, from 9 am to 5 pm. In the summer, from 9 am to 6 pm

The tour combines twin-engined boat navigation at the top of the Iguaçu River, arrival at the Poço Preto pier and a visit to the observation deck of 10 meter-height to spot Lagoa do Jacaré (a lagoon) and Poço Preto, rich in aquatic and terrestrial fauna. The next step is the Ilha das Taquaras archipelago, with the option of ducks to appreciate the landscape.
The return is down the Bananeiras Port or Porto Canoas restaurant, always accompanied by expert guides.
Opening hours:Every day, from 9 am to 5 pm. In the summer, from 9 am to 6 pm
Duration:2h30 with departures every 30 minutes

In this tour, the visitors take the path in an open electric vehicle, accompanied by trilingual guides over three kilometers of jungle. The vehicle stops at the beginning of the 600 m path that leads to Salto Macuco, which has clear and crystalline waters falling from a height of 20 m on the rocks, forming a small pond.
Those who don't want to walk may stay in the car up to the inflatable dinghy boarding place. In this exciting adventure, the boat sails the waters of a canyon, and comes very close to the huge Devil's Throat falls and then receives the "wet blessing" of the Three Musketeers waterfalls.
Handy tip: if you do not want to get soaked, take a raincoat with you.

What follows is a twin-engine boat navigation on the top of the Iguaçu River, passing by the Taquaras archipelago, with an optional tour in ducks and snorkeling for observation of aquatic vegetation. The whole tour is under the supervision of experienced tour guides.

Catholic Church
Inaugurated in 1952 by Dom Manuel Konner, after 27 years of construction, the Catholic Church had to be rebuilt after a fire in 1925. In 1978 it was extended to the side and stood in the way it is now. The Cathedral helps telling the story of Foz do Iguaçu from the beginning. Today it has become a landmark and religious attraction for many tourists visiting the city, and it is located right in the heart of Foz do Iguaçu. Next, on the same ground, is the home of the priests, a building as old as the Cathedral itself. It conserves the floor, the ceiling and some furniture manufactured by a pioneer priest, who was also a carpenter.
