- How does Community Banking work? The Company is owned by the
community via our shareholders We acquire a franchise from Bendigo
and Adelaide Bank who in turn provide the Banking infrastructure
The Community Bank company provides the staff, premises and all the
ongoing operational expenses The Community Bank and Bendigo and
Adelaide Bank share the revenue generated by the banking
activities

- Where it all started.... The first Community Bank branches
opened in 1998 in the Victorian wheatbelt towns, Rupanyup and
Minyip. Today, Rupanyup and Minyip have been joined by more than
200 other communities across Australia to form one of the fastest
growing banking networks community banking.

grants $133,000 to shareholders 2009 Nearly $200,000 towards our
bushfire affected communities 2010 - $322,944 sponsorships and
grants $724,064.00 total dividends to shareholders over the past 10
years
