This Application Note is pertinent to the Saftronics dcM6+/dcM12+ Family
dcM6+/dcM12+ Conversion Summary
The following is a summary of conversion information when migrating from a Saftronics dc6+ and dc12+ drive. The dcM6+ and dcM12+, were DC drives marketed by Saftronics. The non-regen dcM6+ and regen dcM12+ models were available for 5-800HP applications. The replacement is either the Mentor II or the Quantum III drives as (shown below). In short, the difference between the Mentor II and the Quantum III is that the Quantum III has a motor contactor, fuses and 120vac control logic.
