permanecerá activa hasta que se alcancen los 3°C;
Giros por minuto (RPM), cuando hay instalados ventiladores con señal taquimétrica;
Porcentaje, cuando hay instalados ventiladores de velocidad variable sin señal taquimétrica (Off cuando el ventilador está apagado);

INTRODUCTION The control panel has been designed to operate controlled mechanic ventilation machines with heat
recovery (VMC-RC) as simply as possible. The user controls the functions of the VMC-RC unit by turning a
knob while looking at a graphic display, which shows the relevant windows. Values are changed and menu
items are scrolled by turning the knob, while changes or selections are confirmed by pressing the knob. The
“close window” icon is always displayed in the top right corner of the screen. Subsequent windows are
accessed by turning the knob until the icon is selected and then pressing the knob. The controlled unit
operation state is summarized in the main window, which represents a full synoptic overview of the
machine. The user can also switch to a simplified display of the operation state
SIMPLIFIED DISPLAY The simplified window is an essential representation of the machine state consisting of large symbols and characters, which can be easily seen also from a distance. Only when several machines are installed: the state of the first machine is always displayed, while alarms are highlighted when any one of the machines installed is working irregularly. The user can access the simplified window from any window at any time by simply holding the knob depressed for 5 seconds. Alternatively, the user can access this window by selecting the simplified item from the selection menu:
Simplified window
Changing the speed on the fans
Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the speed and anticlockwise to reduce it. When
timer is selected, the speed is automatically selected according to the weekly
programme, whereas when Auto is selected the speed is selected automatically,
depending on the quality of the air extractor and the comfort profile configuration.
Changing the set temperature
It is available only if the unit is equipped with post-heating, represent the temperature desired in the
room. Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the temperature and anticlockwise to reduce it.
Alarms In case of alarms, a flashing icon and writing are displayed. The writing may indicate dirty filters or suggest to call service for more serious problems.
Switching to the synoptic window Switch to the synoptic window by keeping the knob depressed for 5 seconds.
SYNOPTIC DISPLAY The synoptic display is a detailed graphic representation of the machine state, from which all functions available can be enabled. The synoptic window can be switched to from the simplified window by keeping the knob depressed for 5 seconds. On the contrary, the synoptic window can be accessed from the other windows by closing all windows. Only when several machines are installed: the state of the first machine is always displayed, while alarms are highlighted when any of the machines installed is working irregularly.
Synoptic window
Controlling fans speed In order to change this parameter, select the field in the top left corner of the synoptic window (turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to change the field selection) and confirm your selection by pressing the knob.
Possible selections are as follows:
- off: when this selection is selected, fans are still; however, be aware that the unit is energized anyway; in
order to reach this value, turn the knob counterclockwise. Press the knob to confirm.
- xxx%: if the unit is fit with stepless adjustment speed fans, a percentage value of the fan speed can be set
starting from a minimum value (factory setting) up to 100 percent of the available speed; turn the knob
clockwise to increase speed and counterclockwise to reduce it. Press the knob to confirm your selection.
Speed change steps can be 5 percent or 1 percent (factory setting). If the unit is COP version a value of the
desired pressure (to be kept constant) downstream of the fan can be set. The value will be expressed as a
percentage of the full-scale value.
1, 2 or 3: If the unit is equipped with 3-speed fans, any one of the speeds available can be selected: speed 1, speed 2 or speed 3; turn the knob clockwise to increase speed and counterclockwise to reduce it. Press the knob to confirm your selection.
timer: when this option is selected, the fan speed is controlled according to the settings of the weekly timetable (see Program menu). Press the knob to confirm your selection. auto: this mode is only available when a sensor is present (CO2, CO2-VOC or relative humidity RH) whose measure the fan speed depends on. The auto mode is compatible with the timer mode (see Program menu). Press the knob to confirm your selection.
Booster function
The booster function can be accessed by selecting the bottom left icon
By this function, a time interval (from 1 minute to 4 hours) can be selected during which the unit can run at
maximum speed. The booster function bypasses any other fan speed control modes. After selecting the
function, a digital chronometer (hours.minutes.seconds) is displayed that is preset on 5 minutes; this value
can be changed by turning the knob clockwise to increase the booster time or counterclockwise to reduce
this time. After selecting the time desired, press the knob to stop the function: the display shows the
remaining time to the end of the procedure; when the 00.00.00 value is reached, the speed returns to be
controlled in the previously selected mode. If the procedure is to be stopped, just repeat the booster
setting operations by selecting 0 minutes.
Post-heating control
The ADVANZ control is able to operate a post-heating system based on a water coil (control of a 3-point
solenoid valve or control of solenoid valve with 0-10 volt signal in modulation) or an electric resistance
(controlled by on-off control or PWM modulation signal). The presence and type of post-heating installed
must be set in the factory. If the post-heating operation is set, the synoptic window changes: an icon that
represents a thermometer with a temperature value on its side is displayed in the bottom right corner and
a box representing post-heating is displayed in the delivery airflow. The desired temperature set point
setting function is accessed by selecting the item in the bottom right corner (Ts).
The Ts value can be increased by turning the knob clockwise or, otherwise, reduced by turning the knob
counterclockwise: once the desired value is reached, confirm your selection by pressing the knob. Ts may
take values between 0 and 30 °C with 1°C steps; when the user selects a Ts value of 0 °C, the control
considers post-heating off and the off writing is displayed on the screen just above the Ts00 value. The
screen indicates the post-heating state:
Post-heating ON Post-heating OFF
Pre-heating operation
In addition to post-heating, the CTR-ADVANZ control is capable to operate a pre-heating system (through a
PWM-controlled electric resistance) that is automatically triggered when the temperature taken by the
exhaust probe (Tx) drops below 1° C and is then goes off when the temperature returns above 3° C. These
are factory set values. The screen shows the pre-heating state:
Pre-heating OFF Pre-heating ON
Alarms
In case of alarms, a flashing icon and writing are displayed; and the alarm will be also indicated by a flashing red led. The writing may indicate Dirty filters or suggest to Call service in case of more serious problems.
In case of problems when reading a temperature probe, the corresponding value will be not displayed on the screen. The said operation will be inhibited only in case of problems with the exhaust air temperature probe (Tx).
System state display
The synoptic window also shows the heat-recovery VMC unit configuration and operating state. In addition
to the features described in above paragraphs, please note:
Temperature value read by each probe;
- Unit without by-pass;
Unit with byPass, the bypass state is pointed out by the graphics;
Unit with hygrostat: the overcoming of the set threshold value is pointed out.
