Fees and ConcessionsFeesOn the majority of our leisure courses you will see two different fees: the full fee and the concessionary fee

Concessionary feeFor a number of our leisure courses we offer a concession to people who are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits, or are the unwaged dependant of someone receiving these benefits:

• Job Seekers Allowance• Universal Credit• Employment and Support Allowance• Income Support• Housing or Council Tax Benefit

• Working Tax Credit• Child Tax Credit• Pension Credit Guarantee• Disability Living Allowance• Carers Allowance

We also offer a 40% discount to residents living next to Brighton Junction in either Pullman Haul or Brighton Belle. This is funded by One Brighton Community Interest Company (CIC). You’ll need to show us a recent utility bill, bank statement or council tax bill dated within the past 3 months with your name and address on it as proof of residence to claim the discount. You may be eligible for a double discount if you are also in receipt of the benefits above.

Better Living through Learning ProjectFor a number of our leisure courses we are now offering a low cost fee of £15 to allow wider access to our courses and enable more people to realise the benefits of learning. Research shows that learning can improve mental wellbeing and help you to get the most from life so the funding for this project is aimed at those who need it most within the city. This includes those on low incomes, with mental or long term health concerns and residents from the most deprived areas of the city. Funding is limited and learners will only be allowed to access two courses per term through the low cost fee.

We review applications on a termly basis and there is no guarantee that receiving it one term will mean you’ll receive it in another term, we want to ensure as many people as possible can benefit from this fund.

To apply, please speak to us on 01273 810210, visit us in person at Brighton Junction or email info@friendscentre.org for further details.
