(UIS)

To enter UIS, you must use
- IE6.0 or above
- Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or above
** remember to disable the Pop-up killer **

Password for UIS: check it from email dated Aug 2 in your
HKBU email account
Forgot Password: login page of UIS enter personal data as requested a new password will be generated to
your HKBU email account

You MUST update your personal data at UIS on or before Aug 14.
If you fail to do so, you are NOT allowed to do On-line Course Registration
on Aug 15-16.

Timeslot for doing Course Add/Drop:
the timeslot assigned for you to do course
add/drop has been indicated in your
“Schedule of University Life, Orientation &
Course Registration”, or
you can login to UIS (Course Add/Drop page)
to view the timeslot assigned for you.

What to do during the Course Add/Drop:
(1)view “My Study Schedule” to check the
core courses & elective courses for the
coming semester. Please note that core
courses will be assigned to you.

details about the elective courses you wish
to add.

For students directly admitted to Year 2: an individual study plan has been/will be given to you
register courses by following the study plan instead of following the normal Study Schedule shown in UIS
You MUST fulfill all graduation requirements of your study programme

Exemption of LANG1491 (English I):
with grade “C or above” in AS UE
have to take a 3-unit course as substitute

LANG1480 (University Chinese):
with grade “B or above” in AS Chi Lang & Culture,
you may either choose to take (1) LANG1480 or
(2) a 3-unit course from replacement course list (details is shown in the new student orientation page)
qualified students will receive email on what
should be done before the semester starts

Course Add/Drop period in September:
Sep 2-16 (first 2 weeks of the semester)
you may change courses / sections during the
assigned timeslot
