Raja Bersiung had fangs. People were afraid of him.

One day, Raja Bersiung was very hungry.

“Cook some delicious food for me,” said Raja

Bersiung to his cook. The cook quickly prepared Raja

Bersiung’s favourite food. While she was cutting some

mushrooms, she cut her finger. Her blood dripped onto

the food.

Then the food was served to Raja Bersiung.

“I have never tasted such a delicious meal before,”

said Raja Bersiung, “The cook must have added in a new

ingredient.”

He summoned his cook.

“The food was very delicious. What special ingredient

did you use?” Asked Raja Bersiung.

The cook was very frightened. She told Raja Bersiung

what had happened.

“The food was mixed with my blood,” she said.

“Now, I know why the food was so delicious,” said

Raja Bersiung.

“Take the people’s blood every day.”

Many people were killed. Their blood was put into

Raja Bersiung’s food.

His fangs grew longer each day.

He was very mean.

“I want to taste more blood. Kill more people,” ordered

Raja Bersiung to his guards.

The palace guards killed many innocent people. The

rest of the people were so frightened that they fled into

the jungle.

One day the palace officials had a meeting.

“Let’s catch Raja Bersiung. He is very cruel,” said one

of them.

The palace officials told the people to attack the

palace. Many guards were killed.

“Catch Raja Bersiung!” shouted the people.

Raja Bersiung was very frightened.

He knew that the people were very angry.

He escaped into the jungle and dared not return to the

palace.

Since that day, Kedah became peaceful again. The

people lived happily.
