99 Cent Store at Rural & Southern Ave.

This is the west corner of the 99 Cent Store. Well marked Accessible spaces & path. Let’s

follow the path…

Short direct route to the sidewalk. Ramp must be around the corner…

Ramp looks a little steep, and at 22” inches is definitely too narrow for most wheelchairs. A little bit of a challenge turning the corner on

more than two wheels!

So if I make it up the “accessible ramp” my next challenge is to get my wheelchair up the step…

Well I make it up the step! Now I have to leave the sidewalk to get

around the cart rack!

Well I finally finished my shopping at the 99 cent store. Headed for Walmart, but another

cart rack forces me off the sidewalk!

I made it passed the cart rack now I get to stop and read the New Times. Might as well

their news is always “way out there.”

At the present time this store is my nominee for the least

Accessible Store in Tempe.

There have to be better storesHow about Walmart next door?
