Before you can know ‘HOW’, you need to know your ‘WHY’. Your ’WHY’ is the key to motivating you to ACTION. Your ‘WHY’ is personal and
meaningful to you. It should stir your emotions – make you cry, make you angry, make you want to get up and move at that moment! Let it be your
daily motivator to eat right and get in your exercise for the day.

How much weight do you want to lose and what is your goal date? It should be definitive such as ’I want to lose 20 lbs. by August 30, 2015’. If you have a definitive date then you know you have some
work to do to get there. If you don’t define the date, then it becomes another one of those ‘someday I will do…’

If you are new to fitness, it may not be easy to figure out what type of workouts to do. You don’t have to be a ‘super jock’. You can exercise under 30 to 45 minutes
a few times a week and get GREAT results along with a good eating plan.

Pick best time of day to workout and stick that time – are you an ‘AM’ or ‘PM’ person?
Pick an exercise that fits your specific situation – short on time, injury recovery, want a challenge with crossfit or bootcamp type workouts?

Trying to lose weight on your own – without support – can be overwhelming. Family and friends care about us, but it’s not always easy for others to be on board with our desire to change. With a support group, you will find people just like you,
trying to lose weight and to stay motivated. A support group GREATLY increases your chances to accomplish your weight loss goals.

While food tracking will essentially keep you mindful of what you eat, it
can benefit you in so many other ways. It can be essential for anyone facing
digestive issues or possible food related allergies, intolerances or
absorption issues. Even if you don’t have these issues, basically tracking
your energy level and mood after eating meals is a BIG clue to whether you are eating either the correct food or the right amount of specific foods for YOUR UNIQUE body. And really,
when you do it this way, it is really not a ‘diet’, but a BIG indication of how you should eat to keep your weight off and
NEVER HAVE TO STRUGGLE WITH WEIGHT LOSS AGAIN!
