Hippie   Sabotage   is   one   of   my   most   favored   duo  ar5sts.  The  duo  are  brothers,  both  born  and  formed  in   Sacramento.   The   group   steadily   began   crea5ng  echoes   of   music   in   the   mid   2000s,   and   have  therefore   been   planted   in   the   music   industry   for  quite  a  while.  Hippie  Sabotage  effec5vely  began  by  producing   beats   for   rappers   such   as   J.   Leake   and  Yukmouth.     The   two   successfully  and   courageously  combined   elements   of   cultural   sounding   vibes   of  their  hometown  tunes  with  mellows  of  hip  hop.      The   two   developed   their   successes   and   began  collabora5ng   with   Chicago   ar5sts.   They   expanded  their   journey,   crea5ng   beats     of   diverse   influen5al  tracks.      The   singles   ‘Sunny’   and   ‘White   Tiger;   were  successfully   followed   aMer   their   own  material   was  released  with  the  EP  Vacants  in  2013.      A   year  aMer,   Swedish   singer   Tove   Lo  helped   create  their   remix   ‘Stay   High.’   Ellie   Goulding   posted   their  remix  on  social  media  sites,   such  as   Instagram  and  this  helped  their  popularity  and  success  increasingly  grow.

Hippie  Sabotage  don’t  provide  many  official  videos  for  their  songs,  however  ‘Stay  High’  by  Tove  Lo  holds  a   growth   and   popularity   in   their   album.   Their   song   is   primarily   a   catchy   tune,   including   an   engaging    tempo  and  beat,   this  automa5cally  aWracts  viewers  to  watch  their  video.  Many  people  state,   including  Hippie  Sabotage  fans  ‘if  an  ar5sts  song’s  successful,  their  music  video  should  equally  be.’  The  song  ‘Stay  High’   follows   a   fairly   strict   narra5ve  as   the  main   girl   is   generally   following   the   lyrics   to   the   song.   The  video  and  song  tell  a  clear  story  about  a  girl  on  a  night  out  in  which  she  is  challenging  a  roller-­‐coaster  of  her  own  emo5ons.  By  including  a  story  that  a  younger  audience  can  relate  to,  such  as  teenagers  or  young  adults.

Ideologies  I  feel  ‘Hippie  Sabotages’  ideology  shown  through  the  internet  or  created  by  society,  are  shown  to  be  a  hard  working  duo.  For  instance,  their  digipak  doesn't’t  include  any  images  of  themselves  on  it  but  instead  images  of  other  people  or  designs.  This  clearly  shows  the  duo  are  more  interested  in  the  music  their  producing  or  the  arbsts  working  with  them  instead  of  themselves.    

This  shows  the  group  have  kind  souls  and  society  understand  their  not  selfish,  as  they  want  to  promote  and  give  the  a1enbon  and  credit  to  other  arbsts  that  they  have  worked  with.  The  group  are  also  seen  as  quite  individual  and  unique  arbsts  as  they  create  unheard,  original  tunes  and  are  organically  determined  to  make  it  to  their  best  possible  posibons  in  the  music  industry.  Therefore  their  system  of  ideas  are  known  to  be  appreciated  and  the  group  show  acts  of  kindness  within  themselves  as  well  as  their  music  by  not  making  everything  about  themselves  but  about  the  echoes  of  their  music.  Many  believe  the  duo  don’t  want  a1enbon  upon  themselves,  only  for  their  music  to  be  heard.
