Logical Drive # 1, RAID 1, 33.9 GB, OK
To ensure the safety of BAM data, RAID 1 error tolerance technology is adopted for BAM hard disks. RAID 1 adopts full mirror technology, through which each piece of data has a complete mirror in another hard disk. Whenever one hard disk encounters fault, the control program can restore the lost data from the mirror hard disk to keep the usability of the data.
Check Partitions and capability of hard disk partition capacity of logical drive is assigned with the following :Drive C: 4 GB, which is used for installing operating system (Windows 2000 Server) and database management software (SQL Server 2000). Drive D: 15 GB, which is used for installing BAM server software and storing the system databases.Drive E: 3 GB, which is used for storing the log files of the databases.Drive F: remained space (about 12.3 GB), mainly used for backing up system databases, and registry information. G: CD-ROM
According to the requirements of BAM server software for hard disk partitions, it is required to create four partitions in NTFS for BAM hard disk. We recommend that the drive letters of the partitions (logical drives) be assigned with C, D, E and F, and the CD-ROM drive letter be G.
