Countdown to Christmas Fun
29th November 2013
Newsletter
We are very much looking forward to tomorrow, when the Christmas Fair is taking place be-
tween 11am and 2pm.
In addition to being able to meet Father Christmas in our very own grotto, there will be the
usual attractions including Bottle Bola, Chocolate Bola, temporary tattoos, face painting and
refreshments. There will also be a number of outside stalls for anyone who wants to stock up
on Christmas presents during the event.
As always, thank you to Linda, Jenny and all of the parents from the Wilmslow Prep Parents’
Committee who have given up their time putting this event together.
Entrance is free but please do pick up some raffle tickets on your way in - there are some fan-
tastic prizes to be won and all of the money raised goes towards extras for
the children, such as visits, parties, software and items for the playground.
Tomorrow we are also pleased to be supporting the Wilmslow Winter
Wander Round, which is raising much needed funds for East Cheshire
Hospice. In the Reception classroom, we are holding a free Gingerbread
Decorating Event for children. Come and decorate a gingerbread man—
there are prizes for the best efforts and we are raising money for East
Cheshire Hospice at the same time with donation buckets in the class-
room.
There are lots of WWWR events over the next few weeks taking place in
Wilmslow Town Centre and we are pleased to be a part of this celebration.
The Parents’ Committee
held their annual get to-
gether for WPS mums
recently at the Ladies’
Lunch.
The event was held at
Grill on the Edge and
thirty mums took time
out to meet for lunch and
some treats courtesy of Clarins at John Lewis.
The lunch and raffle raised over £300, which will go towards
providing additional items for WPS as part of the excellent
work that the Parents’ Committee do.
Thank you to all of the mums who supported the lunch and
congratulations to those of you who won some fantastic
prizes. A big thank you to Sally Samuel and the rest of the Parents
Committee for their hard work organising this event.
Congratulations to Amber, Sofia, Amelia, Scarlett, Imogen,
Laura and Noor for being this week’s Stars. Well done for
all of your hard work.

What do these have in common?
Form 4 Go Shopping Form 4 had a really
successful trip to
Sainsbury's to put their
Maths into practice.
They had budgeted and
made shopping lists
considering the class's
likes and dislikes and
then, having bought the
goodies, enjoyed eating them!
Thanks to the parents who accompanied us!

Toy Service Thank you to every-
one who brought in
toy donations for our
Advent Service this
morning. There was
a fantastic response
and the stage was full
of donations. The
Seashell Trust and
Silk FM’s Toy Ap-
peal will benefit from
your generosity and
the toys will be redistributed.
By Jessica B. We are raising
money for the Philippines, as
they have been affected by Ty-
phoon Haiyam.
Jessica B, Vanessa and Natasha
started making friendship brace-
lets and then Halle, Ashlea and
Maui came up with stickers.
Jessica A has been fantastic tak-
ing orders and keeping us all organised. Then Natasha and Jessica
B came up with stress balls. So far we have raised £142.85.
