CERTIFICATIONS for TECHTERA this year, rewarding the cluster for its excellence in management, quality and continuous improvement.
Gold Label for TECHTERA, a European level certificationThe “CLUSTER MANAGEMENT EXCELLENCE LABEL GOLD” is given by the EUROPEAN CLUSTER EXCELLENCE INITIATIVE. It acknowledges the highly sophisticated cluster management of TECHTERA, and the success and commitment of the cluster to further improve its organizational structure and routines. TECHTERA is the first textile cluster to obtain the Label Gold.
TECHTERA is once more ISO 9001 certified (2008 version) for its quality management system
“Change and continuity are certainly the qualities that best characterise TECHTERA and the world of textiles in general.
One of the most striking media examples in recent years is the GOOGLE JACQUARD project, which combines textile know-how with electronics. What is GOOGLE’S aim? Provide new connected materials to stimulate imagination and generate more innovation in fields as varied as aerospace, clothing, and home automation!
In this constantly changing world, we have an obligation to think about our future and to anticipate or invent the resources required. For the past 12 years, TECHTERA has been part of this mission and has been able to rely heavily on its members, funders and its team to invent and create its strategic roadmap. Our work has been recognised, not only through new national and European joint projects but also through missions abroad, allowing us to stay at the forefront of the latest commercial / technological developments.
Our programme for the seven next years will continue to be based on this intelligent mix of new technologies, new applications and new markets. Beyond that, new joint methods, involving even more open partnerships, exchanges and encounters, need to be better understood and better integrated by us all. It is through these strategies that we will gain in agility and speed to remain the Reference Region for the development of new materials and textiles in Europe, Asia and North America.
