Statistics. Null hypothesis– The claim being assessed in a hypothesis test is called the null hypothesis. Usually, the null hypothesis is a statement.
If the null-hypothesis is true, the P-value (probability value) of a hypothesis test is the probability of obtaining a sample statistic with a value.
