The Bacchus Society promises to be the elite wine event of the Rio Grande Valley in where only 100 guests are invited to share an evening with the most exclusive winemakers in North America. All funds raised at The Bacchus Society will enable the museum to continue creating an inspirational legacy by providing life enhancing art and science exhibitions, educational pro-grams, and cultural events serving to stimulate the imagination of our visitors.

IMAS has delighted visitors by featuring the finest art and science exhibitions while providing exceptionally engaging educational programs since its establishment in 1967. IMAS is the only Smithsonian Affiliated museum south of San Antonio and the only institution in the Rio Grande Valley that is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM). Over 70,000 people visit IMAS on an annual basis, with half consisting of school children ranging from 4-12 years of age. For students who are unable to visit the museum, IMAS offers an exciting outreach program that brings our portable state-of-the-art Magic Planet exhibition into the classroom, enhancing the learning experience of an additional 4,000 children a year. We continue our com-munity engagement every summer by partnering with the City of McAllen and offering our popular Operation Imagination summer camp providing an additional 800 children with unique, hands-on learning experiences.

We seek your support to further our mission of providing excellent world-class artist exhibi-tions, educational programming and other cultural events to the Rio Grande Valley that chal-lenge, inspire, and motivate our entire community.

The International Museum of Art & Science wishes to warmly extend the opportunity to become our sponsor for The Bacchus Society...

ObjectiveTo be able to share the elite experiences and the knowledge of wine culture and art by creating an atmosphere where museum patrons will be able to exclusively interact with the winemakers and learn more in-depth about their wine and techniques.

Event LogisticsThe evening of “The Bacchus Society: for the wine enthusiast” will be broken up into 3 wine sessions consisting of 45 minutes each and a wine social in which museum patrons will be able to purchase the wines tasted during the event.

Each 45-minutes session will consist of an interactive talk with the winemaker, a wine pairing, and three to four tastings. The interactive talk will provide a forum in where museum patrons will be able to discover the inner workings of our guest winemaker.
