attend Mass continues until further notice. While livestreaming Mass, please pray the Act of Spiritual

Communion.

PSR PARENTS Let me begin by assuring you of my prayers during this time, especially as school starts up again. Let us pray

for one another and thank God for our parish. Following are a few announcements regarding

the beginning of PSR [Parish School of Religion]. In-Class Sunday PSR will begin in mid-September.

PSR, la educación de los niños, comenzará a mediados de septiembre.

Another option is to do PSR on your own at home; more details attached.

O, si prefieres, puedes enseñar a tus hijos en tu hogar; detalles adjuntos al correo electrónico.

If you haven't already, please fill and return the attached PSR form, indicating whether you

want PSR in class or at home. We need to know numbers for the year so we can order books.

Por favor complete el formulario y devuélvalo. También digas en el formulario si deseas PSR en

clase el domingo, o en tu hogar. As a parish, one of our tasks is to assist parents in the faith education of their children. This year we will have

two options for PSR: In-Class or At-Home. The details about these are in the

Inserted document, "PSR Plan 2020-2021." Also attached is the PSR registration form (more copies in the gathering space). I ask that you get these forms in

as soon as you're able. All of us are called to faith in the Son of God, Jesus

Christ. Faith in Him, listening to His Word, and receiving His Sacraments is what leads us to joy, peace, and eternal life. It's the Lord who forgives us, saves us, gives us life, gives us purpose, and gives us the grace to fulfill what He asks of us. Let us continue to pray for one another and give God continual thanks for our

parish.

May God bless you, Father Andrew Williams

Pope Francis’s Intentions - Sep. 2020 Universal prayer intention - Respect for the Planet's Resources We pray that the planet's resources will not be plundered, but shared in a just and respectful manner.

Bishop Rice’s Intentions - Sep. 2020 (September intentions not yet posted)

FORGIVENESS Nearly ten years before, a son and father had parted ways when the business they shared went bankrupt. The son blamed the father. They did not speak to each other again. Then the father became seriously ill. The mother called the son and told him he had better come soon. The

son walked sheepishly into the hospital room. The father mo-tioned his son to him and whispered: “Did you ever think you

could do anything that would keep me from loving you?” Resentment and anger are foul things, the first read-ing from Sirach tells us. Remember the last things. Stop hat-ing. Live by the commandments. As St. Paul writes to the Ro-

mans, we are to live for the Lord and die for the Lord. Jesus’ parable in today’s Gospel reminds us of God’s compassion. The immense sin of humanity has been forgiven and stricken from the record. We are to forgive others in the

same way. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co. Birthdays
