manufacture of Special Refractories for Iron &
Steel Industry. It has a distinct technological and
business focus � Special Refractories and
Systems for the Steel Industry. The company
has a large pool of well trained Engineers and
Application Specialists to satisfy clients with Total
Refractory Solution for Flow control in Steel
Teeming and Continuous Casting of Steel.
The main manufacturing unit of IFGL is located
at Kalunga Industrial area, near Rourkela, Odisha,
India. The Continuous Casting Refractories
plant in Kalunga, India has started production in
1993 in technical collaboration with Krosaki
Harima Corporation, Japan. This plant

In order to meet the growing demand, in 2012
IFGL started its second state-of-the art
manufacturing facility at the Kandla Special
Economic Zone, Gujarat, India for production
of Isostatically pressed Continuous Casting
Refractories.
EI Ceramics LLC, located in Cincinnati, Ohio,
USA, acquired in 2010, is engaged in
manufacturing of Isostatically Pressed
Continuous Casting Refractories
for the American markets.

TUNDISH NOZZLE
TUNDISH NOZZLE is an intermediate piece of refractory
between the Monoblock Stopper and the Sub Entry Nozzle,
on which the stopper sits to close the flow of steel from
tundish to the mould. Good performance of tundish nozzle
is crucial for successful closure of steel flow with the stopper.
