Introduction
Dear Client,
Welcome aboard! As you already know, the White Label solution
was designed to meet the needs of our most demanding clients by
offering specific functionalities that will allow your business to
grow as quickly as possible in the App world.
This manual will get you off the ground in a few simple steps,
making the most of all of AppsBuilder White Label platform
functionalities.
The system has a lot in common with AppsBuilder standard, and
so the App creation process, for the most part, is one that you'll
already be familiar with. The Apps that you've already made have
not been lost! The transition process is automatic and transparent,
everything will be exactly how you left it. And besides, even if your
site cannot be reached, all apps are available at www.apps-
builder.com which can be accessed with your username and
password.
All feedback is greatly appreciated, so for any questions, quries or
comments, reach out to us at our Support Forum.

1. Getting Started
The AppsBuilder White Label platform comes from the backbone of
the sytem that you already know and as a result many operations
will be largely similar and familiar to what you've done to date.
Nevertheless, there are some important changes that you'll want
to keep in mind:
1. Access is automatic. The platform will open in place of the
AppsBuilder site even if you type in the address www.apps-
builder.com
2. Your AppsBuilder account is the platform's "super admin"
giving you total control of it. Choose a safe password!
3. You can create an unlimited number of apps as well as
users.
4. The White Label product only includes the app
management platform. Client support and payment systems
are not included.
1.1 Access Page
Your White Label platform's URL will be temporarily hosted on
AppsBuilder at the address chosen by you during the sign up stage
with the following format:
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
5
From the moment you start your 30 day trial period, you can open
your access page simply by typing in the following address
[http://www.apps-builder.com]. This is what you'll see:
Insert your username and password (the same ones that you
normally use on AppsBuilder) and click login. You can select your
preferred Language from the top right corner of the menu bar.
1.2 - Dashboard/App List
This is the main screen of the White Label platform: It's very similar
to the one that you're already familiar with, the main differences
being that there are no references of any kind to AppsBuilder
and a few buttons have been added.
For now, what you need to know is:
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
6
the red/orange box shows the number of days left until
your next renewal
clicking on your username right above will open the
AppsBuilder site*
clicking on Upgrade CMS will take you straight to the
activation/renewal page of your White Label plan
clicking on Options on the left allows you to manage all
the technical aspects of the platform.
To proceed, click on Options.
*every link or reference to AppsBuilder is visible only to super admin and not to the
platforms other users.

1.3 Initial personalisation
This panel allows you to manage all the main options of your
White Label platform. Except for the main host (in grey), you can
change any of the other settings any time you want.
The following entries are displayed (the most important ones are
in bold):
Host: This is the address that was chosen by you and is
your emergency access to the White Label platform
should you be unable to access you site for whatever
reason. It cannot be changed.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
8
Hosting: This is where you insert the address that you
want to access the platform from, the same one that
you've already configured in the CNAME parametres of
your DNS (more information on that in section 1.4)
Hosting 2: For now, leave this space empty. It only
needs to be set up if you have Beta access.
CMS Title: This is the name that you've chosen for your
service and that will appear on your homepage.
Powered by: You can use your imagination here,
although usually it's just the company name.
Email: This is the address that sends out all official
information to the platform's subscribers
(subscriptions, lost passwords, etc)
Once you click the Save button, your CMS will be ready to be
opened at the address chosen by you in the Hosting box, just like
it was a part of your actual website.
1.4 Hosting parameter and CNAME
configuration of DNS
By configuring a CNAME type record on the DNS, you can access
the White Label platform directly from your firm's website.
A CNAME records simply redirects the visitor from one URL to
another in a way that's both automatic and transparent.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
9
So if your site is [http://www.mysite.com], with a Record CNAME
configuration redirecting from the address cms.mysite.com to the
AppsBuilder site, you can provide access to the White Label
platform directly from the [http://cms.mysite.com] address
without www.apps-builder.com being displayed anywhere.
This is the process that you need to follow:
1. Open your site's DNS control panel
2. Add a CNAME record with your chosen name*
3. Set the redirect to cms.apps-builder.com
The end result will look like this:
In some cases (depending on panel configuration), you only need
to insert the desired key word, for example “cms” to get
“cms.mysite.com.”. In other cases, you’ll have to type it in full
“cms.mysite.com.” Don’t forget the full stop at the end.
*It’s fundamental that the CNAME address is the same one that was written in the
Hosting box from step 1.3, otherwise AppsBuilder will not recognize your password
and will not give access to the platform.

2. Features
The AppsBuilder White Label platform has many characteristics in
common with the standard version such as:
A single process for your app development
Native apps creation, ready to be sent to the app store
Automatic and instantaneous sending of all updates
to all devices that have the app installed
A simplified interface that doesn’t require any
programming skills for app creation
Management of technological evolutions by
AppsBuilder (New platforms, new devices)
As well as all of this, the AppsBuilder White Label platform offers
specifically tailored instruments for business, specifically:
Branding and stylistic platform personalisation
A page with a list of the apps created with your account
(called App List)
User management and authorisation

2.1 Branding and Personalization
By clicking on the Options menu on your Dashboard, you get to
the personalization menu, following on from what you already
started back at step 1.1.
The objective here is to personalize the White Label platform
using your brand’s colours and characteristics so that your
clients – having accessed the platform – feel like they’re still on
your website.
2.1.1 Graphics and Logos
Once you’ve clicked on Options, select Image which will open the
graphics page that you see in the in the picture below:
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
12
In this section, you can select and insert your company’s graphics
and logos thereby personalising the White Label platform with your
brand.
The sections that can graphically personalised are:
The login page
The dashboard logo
The standard app icon
The feed icon
The Splash image (what you see when starting up a
native app)
There’s a 3-step process to follow and it’s the same one for all
sections:
1. Click on Change and “Upload” the desired image
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
13
2. Select the image and click on “Insert” from the drop down
menu which opens when you click on the file name.
3. To finish, click on “Save changes” after having checked
that the logos are correctly placed in the menu:
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
14
Dimensions and proportions will change based on where the
graphics are positioned. Here are the specifications:
The Login logo is the entire background of the access
page, and so a height of at least 400px is advised.
The page logo will be shown at the top left corner of the
CMS Title. Less than 40 px is advised with a transparent
background.
The Application Icon should have a square shape. Less
than 150 px per side is advised.
The Feed Icon has the same characteristics as the
Application icon.
The Splash Screen should have the dimensions and
characteristics of the most common devices, i.e. a ratio
of 9:16 between width and height.
It’s not strictly necessary to include as it can be set up
within each single app.
2.1.2 Personalisation of text and CSS
By c;icking on “Advanced Layout Menu”, you can further change the
platform’s setting by personalising the textual settings.
The customizable items are the following:
Terms of Service
Custom CSS
Footer
Favicon (favourite icon)
Clicking on each item will present a textfield to be filled in with the
exception of Favicon, for which the process is the same as in
section 2.1.1.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
15
Adjusting the CSS settings is only advised for specialist designers
as faulty or inaccurate settings can cause system malfunctions. The
platform automatically overwrites the CSS classes in this section.
2.1.3 Other options in the advanced menu
The Advanced menu offers four on/off switches for the following
options:
Enabling new client registration from the login interface:
by activating this option, all visitors can sign up to the
platform automatically.
App expiration date for setting up when the app expires
(more information below).
Use of AppsBuilder themes: this option allows the use of
standard themes already used by normal AppsBuilder
clients.
Autoslot: If disactivated, all Apps that have been created will
expire within 30 days unless the “upgrade” option is
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
16
selected. If activated, all new apps created will expire at the
same time as the platform itself.
2.1.4 App Expiration
The App Expiry system, if activated as in section 2.1.3, allows the
setting of the App’s duration according to a pre-set parametre
(from 10 – 90 days) which disactivates the app when expired:
This function can be integrated with existing payment systems
through the GET or URI methods which can be set up through the
Advanced menu which has been looked at in section 2.1.3.
Activating this feature will add the following functionalities:
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
17
An app expiry date for the apps in the list which can be seen
by Admin
An address to which the app’s ID will be sent and where
payment can be verified
A renewal button for the users’ account which can be seen
below:
Integration with external systems may require assistance from our
developers. Technical support can be found by on our Support
Forum.

2.2 App List
The app list, or dashboard, is the main screen you see when you
login and contains all information necessary for the management
of your White Label account:
The structure is subdivided into three main parts:
1. The App list
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
19
2. A Top Bar where you can select the language, open
the AppsBuilder site or renew your subscription.
3. A menu bar on the left which gives access to the
following items:
App list (main page)
Content Management
Form Management
Manage Users
Options
2.2.1 App Management
Each app in the list is shown divided into the following sections:
Icon and name
Date and time of App creation
Modify button
Upgrade button
Authorisation button (more on that in the next section)
Promote promote
Clone button
Delete button
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
20
The Upgrade button includes the App in the White Label plan.
Currently, this function is automatically activated for all new clients
in possession of the new Business Toolkit as well as existing clients
who request the new plan.
The Modify button opens the tool for the creation and
modification of apps which is basically the same interface as
AppsBuilder standard and as such, the creation process goes back
to being the standard one.
The Permission button will activate/disactivate the users who can
access and modify the app (more on this in section 2.3).
The Promote, Clone and Delete buttons have the same functions
as in AppsBuilder standard, publishing apps in the store as well as
management of the promotion, cloning or deleting. (Warning: This
process is irreversible!)
2.3 Authorisation Management
One of the special characteristics of the White Label platform
is authorisation management. By that, we mean the ability to:
Create or delete users with access to the platform
Setting up usernames, passwords and general information
Setting up authorisation of what can be done and on what
app
This function is also made automatic so that a user can register
directly from the login page, as long as the option has been
activated, as explained in section 2.1.3.
Authorisation management is done through two main interfaces:
The Manage Users menu in the main page
The Permission button on each individual app.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
21
2.3.1 Manage Users
On this page, you can add users manually through the Add User
button while at the same time seeing those who have been
automatically registered from the login page.
The information to be filled in is the following:
Once added, a list will appear similar to the app list with the
following options:
The Username chosen during registration
The users’ membership groups
Authorization to create new apps
Authorization to create new content feeds
Modify button
Button for appointing other “Super-users”
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
22
Button for changing the password
Button for cloning or deleting users
You can also manually add users on this page by using the “Add
User” button and at the same time see the list of users already
registered automatically from the login page.
2.3.2 Membership groups
All users will belong to three distinct groups:
User
Super-user
Admin
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
23
A simple User can create new apps and feeds or (if not enabled)
simply manage already existing content.
A Super-user, in addition to what a normal user can do, can also
manage the user groups that have been assigned to him/her. A
typical example would be that of a business and its clients where
the business (Admin) adds its clients as Super-users. From this
point on the Super-users can create and manage other Users
which would have the roles of content management,
maintenence, communications etc.
An Admin user, in addiction to what has already been listed, can
also manage the White Label platform settings with the same
authorisation as the White Label owner.
To make a “User” a “Super-user”, you just have to click the Assign
button and select the user from the drop down menu.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
24
2.3.3 Feed Management Authorization
All users created can only see and modify the feeds for which
they have been authorised.
Each feed, just like for the standard AppsBuilder platform, is an
information container (photos, videos, articles and news) that can
be recalled and inserted in any app.
This is a very useful function as certain users can only modify
feeds (for example, news or latest offers) without modifying or
accessing the app.
Management has been simplified into a simple 3-step process:
1. Open the Content Management section from the
menu on the left
2. Select the feeds that you wish other users to be
able to manage
3. Click the User Authorisation settings button and
select the users that you wish to allow access to
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
25
A “Superuser” can assign feeds to other “users” just as “Admin”
can, as long as these feeds have been created by the “Superuser”
or assigned to his group.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
26
2.3.4 App management permission
Just like with the feeds, you can decide which users can
access and modify which apps.
To access this functionality, open the app list and click the
Authorisation button.
Authorisation is activated through green or red switches which
are linked to the follwoing activities:
Graphics
Content management
Settings
Promotions
Statistics
Push notification
App deletion
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
27
In the example shown, the user “Superboss” (member of the
Super-users group) has complete management authorisation
while the user “Contentmanager1” can only access statistics and
Push Notification.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
28
Contentmanager1’s screen will look like this:
Any attempt to open the other sections will bring the user back to
the app list as authorisation has not been granted.

3. FAQ/Troubleshooting
3.1 I can’t access my site from my platform.
What should I do?
There could be one of two problems:
1. You CNAME is configured incorrectly
2. Your subscription has expired
To check your CNAME, open the site and insert your username
and password. If you can’t remember your user name and/or
password, click on Forget Your Password.
Once logged in, your login page should open with the emergency
address that you selected when activating your White Label plan.
Then, open the options page and check, as explained in section
1.3 and 1.4, that everything has been configured correctly.
If your subscription has expired, go to the website and reactivate
your White Label plan. Check that everything is in order in your
paypal account by using the following guide.
3.2 I forgot my Super-admin password. What
should I do?
Go to AppsBuilder website and select “Forgot Your Password?”
from the Login menu.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
30
3.3 I deleted my app by mistake. How can I
get it back?
You can get your app back by opening a ticket on our Support
Forum within 30 days from the cancellation.
3.4 I deleted a user by mistake, how can I get
him/her back?
This action is irreversible and the only option you have is to
recreate him/her from scratch.
If you want to delete a user, we would advise changing the
username and password, rather than deleting the account. That
way, you can maintain all settings for the user in question.
This is even more important if you have to remove a Super-user,
as you would lose all settings for all users assigned to him/her!
3.5 I created my app but it doesn’t work on
my device or all I see is a white screen.
Check that your subscription has not expired (red/orange box in
section 1.2) and that your apps have been saved (“Save” button in
blue at the top right hand side of the screen).
Also check that the Upgrade “+” button on your dashboard is
visible as explained in section 2.2.1.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
31
If the problem persists, check that it runs inside the “AppsBuilder”
demo app available at respective app stores.
Once you’ve entered your account username and password, this
app will allow you to run down the list of your apps, as if they
were installed.
If the problem persists, write down you app ID and contact our
Support team and we’ll find out what’s wrong.
3.6 I want to create a user just to update
news. What’s the correct configuration?
The settings are:
1. Disactivate the create app and feed as explained in
section 2.3.1
2. Set up writing authorisation on feed only (which can be
modified) as explained in section 2.3.3.
3. For Authorisation access management for the app, see
section 2.3.4.
3.7 How do I manage client support and
payment?
This feature is not included in the White Label platform but you
can integrate your payment system and client support using the
AppsBuilder API at the following address and activating the expiry
date function as explained in section 2.1.4.
AppsBuilder Reseller Program
32
3.8 What happens to my app if I don’t renew
my subscription?
If the subscription is not renewed, you’ll just see a blank white
screen. Be careful though, just because you stop using
AppsBuilder doesn’t mean that the apps will be removed from
app stores. You’ll have to manually disactivate them on App
Store, Google Play Market, Windows Mobile Marketplace etc.
