Age discrimination is when a person is treated lessfavourably than another person in a similar situation,because of their age.
Age discrimination is adverse work treatment of anemployee based on a class or category that theemployee belongs to – employees over age 40 - ratherthan on the employee's individual merit.

It is unlawful to harass a person because of age
Harassment can include, for example, offensive remarks about a person's age
Harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision
The harasser can be the victim's supervisor, a supervisor in another area, a co‐worker

Years of highly developed opinions; unwillingness to hear new ideas.
Expensive. They demand higher wages.
Physically slow moving, Low energy and Unable to sustain long hours if required.

Age discrimination involves treating someone less favourably because of age
Only forbids age discrimination against people who are age 40 or older

Young workers wont be hired simply because they are young
Qualified applicants can feel like they have a fair opportunity to be hired despite of their age
Older employees tend to be more loyal and committed to your company
Older Job seekers can find jobs more easily

Older employees who are not qualified feel entitled and protected undeservedly
Younger workers have a harder time getting jobs
People start to treat any and every form of rejection as a reason to sue for age discrimination
Companies no longer have the right to hire and fire who they want based off what the company desires

According to all of us we feel that there should be no age discrimination in the workplace. The main reason behind this is that if the discrimination take place then no one in older age will be getting job and this will cause high un-employment in future, that is not at all good for economy like ours……
