1 PRODUCT OVERVIEW
1.1 Main Function
ZTE IX350 WiMAX Modem is a WiMAX access device to support 3.5GHz frequency allocation. It supports IEEE802.16-2005 (802.16e) protocol and is backward compatible to 802.16 protocols before 802.16e. It provides four 10/100Base-T Ethernet interfaces (RJ45) and 1 POTS interface (RJ11) at the user end. Furthermore, it also supports WiFi (IEEE802.11b/g/n) access. Utilizing the high-speed WiMAX connection, ZTE IX350 WiMAX Modem can provide users with broadband connectivity to the Internet and VoIP services.

2 DEFINITIONS, SYMBOLS AND ABBREVIATIONS
2.1 Definitions
WiMAX: WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) is a telecommunications protocol that provides fixed and fully mobile internet access. The current WiMAX revision provides up to 40 Mbit/s with the IEEE 802.16m update expected offer up to 1 Gbit/s fixed speeds. The name "WiMAX" was created by the WiMAX Forum, which was formed in June 2001 to promote conformity and interoperability of the standard. The forum describes WiMAX as "a standards-based technology enabling the delivery of last mile wireless broadband access as an alternative to cable and DSL".
Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi (pronounced /waɪfaɪ/) is a trademark of the Wi-Fi Alliance that manufacturers may use to brand certified products that belong to a class of wireless local area network (WLAN) devices based on the IEEE 802.11 standards, which is by far the most widespread WLAN class today. Because of the close relationship with its underlying standard, the term Wi-Fi is often used as a synonym for IEEE 802.11 technology.
VoIP: Voice over IP (VoIP) is a general term for a family of transmission technologies for delivery of voice communications over IP networks such as the Internet or other packet-switched networks. Other terms frequently encountered and

synonymous with VoIP are IP telephony, Internet telephony, voice over broadband (VoBB), broadband telephony, and broadband phone.
OMA-DM: OMA Device Management is a device management protocol specified by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Device Management (DM) Working Group and the Data Synchronization (DS) Working Group. The current specification is OMA DM is version 1.2, the latest modifications to this version released in April 2006.
TR069: TR-069 (short for Technical Report 069) is a DSL Forum (which was later renamed as Broadband Forum) technical specification entitled CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP). It defines an application layer protocol for remote management of end-user devices.
