Mural Design and Execution
For this job I worked with the Moving the Lives of Kids Community Mural Project (MLK Mural) in Pittsburgh PA. MLK Mural is a charitable organization, that focuses on the arts, youth development, and education.
While working on this mural I mentored a group of 10 young adults between the ages of 14 and 17 that served as my assistant artists. They were taught the basics of Art and Design and also learned the realities and benets of working in the arts all while contributing to the improvement of their community.
The mural that I designed and painted was for the Pennsylvania Macaroni Company, located in the Strip District of Pittsburgh PA.

Typeface Design and Type Specimen Booklet Design
Lolita is a script style typeface that is based o of script found in traditional tattooing. When it comes to tattooing and using script in tattoos, generally the style of the script is adjusted to the artist's liking. Also the script can pick up a regional feel to it. In the case of Lolita the script style is based o of a regional style that is most commonly found used in Southern California in the Latin/Mexican American community. Usually this style of script when used in tattoos, records the place that the individual is from or a person’s name, typically it’s their own name or the name of someone that is very important to them. This style can also be associated with street culture, gangs and Latino pride.
The Lolita typeface comes in two styles Lola and Dirty Lola. Lola is the clean version of this type family and has three dierent weight variations to it. Lola regularLil-Lola o Lola delgada Lola Bold o Lola mujerona. Dirty Lola o Lola sucia is the more artistic version of this type family. It is rendered with ink and water color in a loose fashion so that it has a dirty look.

Artisan Handcrafted Goods (The Creation of a Product - Start to Finish)
Artisan handmade goods have become sought after items in the last decade. They have been coveted because of their uniqueness and quality.
This projects main focus was to better understand the entire process of making hand crafted items from concept to nal product. Along with physically creating a series products, I used my knowledge of graphic design and created a brand for my product, chose a target group and started the marketing process for the brand.
