Purpose:
Purpose of Winners’ Circle policy is to lay down the approach and structure for rewards and recognition of employees.
Objective:
To have a single and consolidated points-based rewards and recognition framework
across geographies and business units.
Eligibility:
All full time employees globally of Wipro Technologies, Wipro Infotech, Wividus,
Wipro Corporate and Wipro Eco Energy except Retainers, Franchisees and Partner
employees
Types of Recognition:
There are three different types of recognition existent in Wipro as below.
Spot Awards
Business Unit Awards
Long Service Awards – Please refer to the LSA policy at MyWipro > My
Information Source > People Practices > Common policies across geography >

Spot Awards
Wipro’s spontaneous rewards and recognition system is positioned as ‘Spot Awards’.
Inspiring Performance – To provide on-the-spot recognition for significant
contributions made towards an assignment/project and overall business. This is an
individual award. This has to be given by Manager to the team member(s).
Victory League – To provide recognition for outstanding efforts of a team who has
outperformed their deliverables as a team
Round of Applause – To recognize significant contribution of helping another Wiproite
in times of need and criticality.

Make your own award (MYOA) – A highly customizable award that can be given to
recognize positive characteristics of an individual.
Appreciation Notes – Appreciation notes are a way to say thank you to any colleague
for their efforts. The Appreciation notes can be as follows
o You made a difference
o Pleasure to work with you.
o You saved the day.
Tenet Award – Tenet award is to be given to an employee who exhibits the Tenet
behaviors and lives the Wipro Values
Rules for recognition:
The Approving Authority shall be the Project Manager in all cases. In case there is no
project manager, the home supervisor is going to be the approving authority. In case the
employee is in transition and no home supervisor or project manager is tagged, the HR
for the employee shall be the approving authority

Validity of Points
All points accumulated by the employees shall be valid for a fixed period of time as
decided by the HR Team. Beyond this period the points shall lapse. This period shall be
updated and specified periodically.

Tenet Award and Appreciation Note:
Business Unit Awards
The Business Unit Awards allows recognition of employees for outstanding performance
in events, contests, engagement activities, projects and other activities. It can be used for
recognitions that are outside the purview of the Spot awards.

Prior to raising the award, the giver is required
to take approval for the total budget amount
from their BFM.
The recognition gets triggered to BU HR Head in
the giver’s hierarchy for approval. The giver is
required to mail the BFM approval to the BU HR
head, based on which the BU HR Head may
approve the recognition.
The giver can enter any custom title for the
award (maximum 50 characters). No. of
characters allowed as citation are 350.
The award will get auto cancelled after 30 days,
if no approval is received

Points to Note while creating recognition:
Recognition once submitted, cannot be edited or deleted. The approving authority can
deny approval to cancel the award if necessary.
E-Cards/E-Certificates
1. The default option is Ecard and ‘No E-Certificate’. You may choose an e-certificate for
the recipient to be able to view certificate online.
2. Option to avail for hard copy of the certificates is not available in the program.
3. Citation may comprise maximum of 2000 characters (including spaces) and must be
typed in the comments box.
4. The trigger date for the certificate and the points credit can be selected at the time
of nomination. The certificate and points will get triggered on the date specified,
subject to the Manager’s approval of the recognition wherever necessary.

Process to redeem points
Points in the account can be redeemed through the rewards catalogue:
MyWipro > My Career > Winners' Circle > Shop.
The product catalogue will vary based on the country one is based in and has been
designed in collaboration with multiple partners across countries.
Points to Note:
1. The reward will be dispatched to the address mentioned while redeeming the
points. Please do not mention official address as the courier may not deliver to all
offices.
2. Only the points in the account can be redeemed. There is no option to pay any
balance amount by cash.
3. WASE/ WIMS employees are required to redeem the points before being
confirmed. You will not be able to redeem points in the old account after
confirmation.
4. You are required to redeem the points before separation / last working day with
Wipro. You will not have access to the Winner’s Circle portal post exit. Once
redeemed, the order cannot be cancelled. In case of non-availability under
exceptional instances, the product will be replaced with an equivalent or higher
version product based on your approval. If no such product is available the points
shall be credited to your account.

Tax on Redemption
As per the IT guidelines of Sep 29, 2001, the value of any gift, or voucher, or token in
lieu of which such gift may be received by the employee or by member of his household
on ceremonial occasions or otherwise of worth Rs.5000/- or above shall be added as a
perquisite value to the employee and subjected to applicable tax rates
Winners’ Circle Points Conversion
Winners Circle points undergo an adjustment when an employee’s work location
changes. The points can be revised upwards or downwards based on the destination and
country of origin. These points are not converted based on currency exchange rates but
on the basis of a purchasing parity index. The converted value of the monetary points
remains the same.
For example suppose the employee in based in India and has 1000 winners circle
points and the points bear a monetary value of INR X. If this employee was to move to US
the revised points would not get converted based on the exchange rate but these get
adjusted on the basis of a PPP index. The adjusted points for this employee in US would
be 189 points.

FAQs:
Q. Can I nominate my colleagues/ same band employee for an Inspiring Performance
award?
The Inspiring Performance award can only be given to employees in a lower band than
the giver, unless the recipient is a reportee of the giver. If you wish to recognize your
colleagues of the same band, you may nominate them for "Round of Applause" or "Make
your own award". Or you can request your Manager (at a higher band) to nominate
Inspiring Performance award to the said employee.
Q. How is the budget allocation done for the Spot Awards?
Budget allocation for the Spot Awards is specific to a Business Unit. Each business unit has
a budget allocated based on the headcount. Any unutilized budget at the end of the
quarter gets lapsed.
Q. What is the process to be followed for redeeming the reward points in winners circle
page?
Points in the account can be redeemed through the rewards catalogue:
MyWipro > My Career > Winners' Circle > Shop
Select the product and quantity you want to redeem and fill in the address where you
would want the reward to be dispatched.
Q. Can I redeem the reward points offline?
No, redemption cannot be done offline. It must be done through the Winners’ Circle
portal.
Q. What is Purchasing Power Parity index?
The Purchasing Power Parity index calculates the purchasing power of 1 unit of currency
across different countries. Winners’ Circle uses the PPP index for conversion of points to
ensure uniformity across locations. The PPP index installed in the Winners’ Circle system
is based on the Big Mac Index.
Q. Can I exchange the rewards points for any other benefits or cash reward?

No, the reward points cannot be exchanged for any other benefit or cash reward.
Q. If I have 5000 points and I want to redeem a product worth 5200 points, can I pay
the extra amount and buy the product?
Kindly note that we follow all transactions on a cashless basis hence items in the catalogue
can be redeemed only through points. You may wait till you receive another award or
redeem those points for any other product from the catalogue. Also, please note that
points can be earned only through recognitions.
