WHO WAS SIDNEY LEWIS? Sidney George Lewis (24 March 1903 – 1969)Sidney Lewis, who has been recognized as Britain's
youngest soldier to serve in the Great War.He fought in two battles:The Battle of Somma and The Battle of Delville Wood
WHAT DOES SIDNEY LEWIS? Enlisted in the East Surrey Regiment in August 1915
at the age of twelve.He fought in the Battle of the Somma (1916) in the
north of France at the aged thirteen after that Lewis fought in the Battle of Delville Wood.
In this Battle he can see more slaughters than the Battle of Somma
Battle of the Somme (1916).One of the most long and bloody battles in in the Great War with more than one million of dead's for both armies.

18 November 1916 on both sides of the River Somme in France.

HOW SIDNEY LEWIS…He enlisted in the East Surrey Regiment in August 1915 at the age of twelve.He Survived the two battles because they take care of him and he was very lucky we supposed.
WHY SIDNEY LEWIS ENTER TO THE GREAT WAR?
Because he love so much his country (nationalism)And he want to help to his nation.
CONCLUSION:• We made a presentation and learned how hard it was
to be in a war when he was ONLY 12 years old!!! And how rough was the World War I for every human.
