Komodo Fiber Frame Grabber (KY-FGF)
Komodo-Fiber is high-performance yet low-cost FPGA card supporting four SFP+ 10GigE transceivers and a single QSFP+ 40GigE optical interface. The card is based on Arria V GZ powerful FPGA that offers up to 400K flexible logic elements, 1K DSP blocks and 28Mbit of embedded memory. The board offers a flexible DDR3 memory system with up to 144 Gb of memory and 128 Gbps throughput. A high speed 8 lane Gen 3.0 PCI express interface allows fast data transfers between optical links and computer memory while a versatile GPIO with multi-standard support enables connection to external devices.

CoaXPress™ Range Extender over Fiber 4 Channels (SFP+) (KY-FEXT)
KAYA Instruments’ CoaXPress Range Extender over Fiber is industry’s first CoaXPress range extender which provides a high resolution stream interface for distances up to 10km in single-mode and up to 300m in multi-mode. Optic fiber is electrically isolated, hence it does not radiate nor is it susceptible to electromagnetic interference, also eliminates the problems associated with grounding. The fiber cable is not easily tapped, providing more secure communication. The system is constructed of two convertors, one on the camera side and one on the host side.

KAYA Instruments’ Camera Link Range Extender over Fiber resolves distance limitation of Camera Link interface by connecting camera to frame grabber over single fiber cable. This solution provides a high resolution stream interface for distances up to 10km in single-mode and up to 300m in multi-mode. The adapter is capable of supplying power to camera over PoCL. The system is constructed of two converters, one on the camera side and one on the Camera Link frame grabber side.

CWDM Option (Coarse wavelength division multiplexing)
In CWDM each optical SFP module operates at different wavelength and then an optical multiplexer is used to mix all the signals into a single fiber. In this mode the number of cables required in the infrastructure can be reduced from 5 down to two cables or even single cable. The CWDM also can be used to use the CoaXPress over existing infrastructure, sharing the same fiber cables with other applications.

KAYA Instruments’ CoaXPress extender over Coax is industry’s first CoaXPress range extender. The extender increases standard CoaXPress transmission distance while maintaining a low jitter, high resolution and quality stream. The extender enables video, control signals and power over CoaXPress (PoCXP) transmission for full control of data stream and camera handle. The range extender is able to provide a downlink of up to 6.25Gbps and uplink at 20.83Mbps.

Single Link CoaXPress™ Range Extender
KAYA Instruments’ CoaXPress extender is industry’s first CoaXPress range extender. The extender increases standard CoaXPress transmission distance while maintaining a low jitter, high resolution and quality stream. The extender enables video, control signals and power over CoaXPress (PoCXP) transmission for full control of data stream and camera handle. The extender can provide power to the camera over CoaXPress link, while on the host side sink power from the frame grabber. The range extender is able to provide a downlink of up to 6.25Gbps and uplink at 20.83Mbps.

FMC CoaXPress™ card (KY-FMC-CXP)
The FMC CoaXPress card is the industry’s first FPGA Mezzanine Card (VITA 57.1) providing a high performance CoaXPress compliant connection. The FMC CoaXPress is capable of capturing video from up to 5 CoaXPress channels and is ideally suited to industrial, defense and aerospace applications. This mezzanine card might be also used as camera simulator, emulating up to 5 transmitting channels.Customer specific data pre-processing or custom protocols are easily accommodated via FPGA carrier card. The FMC CoaXPress also provides isolated GPIO for input/output signals, such as triggers, shaft encoders, exposure control and general I/O.
