Visedo – Electricity in Motion
Components and solutions for hybrid electric vehicles
Visedo business idea
Visedo® provides Electric drive trains for applications in
Buses (EV & HEV & LNG driven HEV)
Heavy mobile work machines
Marine vessels
Fuell cell requirements to the system
Main Component changes in drivetrain:
1. Diesel engine+Generator is replaced by the
fuel cell packs
2. Inverter is replaced by the DC/DC-converter
3. Fuel tank is replaced by the H2 tanks
Notes about the fuel cell system:
• Some energy storage is still needed to ensure
dynamic response and to enable the
regeneration.
• Dynamic response time is in the range of
hunreds of milliseconds for the fuel cell.
• Results to a need of the DC/DC converter
between the main DC-link and fuel cell DC.
• System cost is today around 4 times higher
compared to the diesel engine based HEV
system.
Future
• Visedo drivetrain can support
fuel cell based vehicles.
• Today cases with fuel cells
are limited to only few.
• Visedo prepares to support
customers using fuel cells by
testing the electric drivetrain
in real cases.

• The TEKES fuel cell program was a important part of the Visedo drivetrain technology
development.
• Efficiency of the components is the most important factor in electric drivetrain. Visedo
has the highest total drivetrain efficiency of the market today, over 85 %.
• VISEDO’s technology allow both full and hybrid electric vehicle designs by using same
electric drive train components.
• Already several customer references on electric and hybrid vehicles running!
