Dear Parents,
Warm greetings! For the past few months we enjoyed taking care of your precious children. You
might have noticed that they loved to come to school. For the next few days during the vacation we
expect you, their natural guardian will spend quality time with them. Let’s share some tips to make this
period a happy and fruitful period for them.
Creating a family bond
1. Have at least two meals together with
your children. Teach them the value of
hard work of the farmers and ask them
not to waste food.
2. Visit the grandparents and let them build a
rapport with them. There love and emotional
support is very important for your child. Click

Inculcating Reading Skills
Get your children exposed to the fascinating
world of fictitious characters through interesting
story books. However, throw in some non-fiction
reading as an added advantage.

Imparting Life skills through real life events
• If possible, take them to your work spot, and

about plants and trees is an integral part of
growing up.
• Let them wash their own plates after meals.
Children learn dignity of labour from such
activities.

Guidelines for the parents:
• Spend some quality time with your kids. Have at least one time
meal with them. Play at least one indoor or outdoor game with
them. Take them to the park and share your childhood
experiences with them.
• Encourage your child to go outdoors rather than sitting in front of
electronic gadgets all day.
• Encourage your child to cultivate the reading habit. Get some story
books of their choice to read.

ENGLISH
1. Students you have already learnt about amphibians in Lesson -1.Make a list of few
amphibians and write five lines on each [choose any three amphibians]. Do the
same in holidays home work notebook. Draw or paste the picture also.
2. Read lesson-3 and lesson 4.underline the difficult words. Write their meanings in
Hindi try to build your vocabulary.
3. Happy father’s day: - father’s day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the
contribution of fathers to lives of their children.
❖ Take help of your mother and plan a surprise by cooking something to his choice
and make him feel special. Catch the joyous moments and paste them in
scrapbook.
4. Write a poem on a4 size sheet. Paste pictures for decoration.

• Do holiday home work in separate notebook
1. Write number names from 500-1000
2. Learn the tables from 2 to 12. Make a chart of the same. Use sketch pens and
highlighters.
3. Make a birthday record of your family/friends and relatives in a scrapbook. Maintain
it one is done for you.
4. Do addition at home. Make your own statements and add the sums. Do 10 sums of
addition (without carry over) and 10 sums (with carryover) in holiday’s homework
notebook.
5. Do 2 sums of expanded form with 4 digit numbers. (do 2 sums everyday for 10 days)

ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES( EVS)
• Do neat and clean work.
1. Read lesson 3 and lesson 4 from your book.
2. Collect different (pieces) of clothes we wear and paste them in scrap book.
3. Make a family tree with the help of newspaper and colored sheets. Mention the
names of the family members on the leaves. (like father, mother)
4. Prepare a food chart for 3 weeks. Mention the three meals and their uses.(mention
what you take in breakfast, lunch and dinner). Do it in scrapbook.
5. Read an educational column in newspaper and paste any one educational news in
scrapbook.
6. Do the following activities according to roll no :-
❖ Roll no 1 to 5 make a model on human body showing different organs.
❖ Roll no 6 to 10 we celebrate 21st June as “international yoga day”. Collect some
pictures of yoga day and make at least 10 flash cards.
❖ Roll no 11 to 13 make a flash card (at least 10) of different body organs.
❖ Roll no 14 to 17 make flash cards (at least 10) on plateau , hills, mountains,
valley, desert , plains, forest, water bodies (stream, river, lake, ocean)
7. Write few words (80-100 words) on the member of the family you love the most.
Write it in scrapbook. Also paste his/her photograph there.
ART & CRAFT
1. Make a towel hanging using cardboard ribbons decorative material.
2. With the help of ice-cream sticks make a helicopter. Decorate it and place it in your
room.
3. Make a photo frame with the help of ice-cream sticks.

4. Write the difference between computer and human being on an a3 size sheet.
5. Paste the pictures of 5 main parts of a computer on a a3 size sheet.
6. Revise all the work till date.

1.Do all the written work in separate 3in one copy.
