ConcussionTesting:AharonShulimsonintroducedustotheXLNTBrainconcussionmanagementprogram.Thisisafreeprogramthatprovidespreseasontestingandfollow-uptestingwithinaneasytouseapp.Thiscanbeincludedwithourregistrationprocessorteamscandothisindividually.Thepreseasontestingtakesabout30minutes.Hesuggestedthateachteamhaveaconcussioncoordinatorwhocanmonitorplayersasneeded.Hisinformationisincludedattheendoftheminutes.

America’sShowcase:ShannonandWayneWoodhallalongwithWesPrimeandTaylorBecraftreportedtheirfeelingsandobservationofthetournamentinPittsburg.Theplayerssuggestedthatmoregamesandpracticesneedtohappensothattheteamcangetmorecomfortableplayingtogether.Also,theywouldliketohaveseenmoresupportfromtheHighSchoolteams.Waynereportedthatalloftheplayerswerecontactedbyscoutsfromteams.Shannonsuggestedthatweneedtomakethisteammorecompetitivebyhavingtryoutsearlierintheyearandhavingtheyplayersparticipateintournamentsthroughouttheseason.TheselectteamwouldthenbecomelikemoreofaHStravelteam.ChrisWsuggestedthatweincludetravelplayersthatcouldcommitthetimetotheHSteam.AlsothiswouldbeachancetoincludethebetterHSplayerswhomightnothavethemeanstoparticipateontravelteams,butdothatthetalent.Ashowcasecommitteewasadded.

UHSHBoardMemberVotes:RachelFieferhaswithdrawnherproposalforTreasurer.BrianmadeamotionthatweresendtheRFPfortheTreasurerposition,ChrisWseconded.Approvedbyall,motionpasses.TheRFPwillbesenttoalltrusteessotheycanforwardtoanyinterestedparties.

ArequestwasalsomadethatwesendoutanRFPforanewCPAtodoourtaxesand1099’s.

JuneMeeting:ShannonmadethemotionthatwemovetheJunemeetingtoJune7th,Jeffsecondedthismotion.Allapproved,motionpasses.TheJunemeetingwillbeonJune7th.

AmotionwasmadetoremovefromtheP&P’ssection27.2A,2tobeconsistentwiththechangemadetotheP&P’sintheAprilmeeting.“TheStateChampionofDivisionIIwillberequiredtogotoDivisionIthefollowingseasonregardlessoftheirupcomingteam’scomposition”DuetothewaitingperiodincludedintheupdatedP&P’sthiswillnotbefinalizeduntiltheJunemeeting.

UAHA:Jasonwarnedusnottobelieverumors,waitforofficialwordfromUAHAonareasthattheyoversee.UAHAisworkingwithallorganizationstotrynottooverlapimportantdates.RockyMountainDistrictcampwentwellandUtahplayersperformedwell.Allcurrentboardmemberswerereelected.USAHockeyAnnualCongressiscomingup.Thisisarulechangeyear.Anyrulechangesmadewillbeimplementedinthe2017-18season.

Finance/Treasurer:Shannonreviewedthemonthlyinformation.CountyoverchargedUHSHforicethisseasonandwillprovideacreditfornextseason.ShannonreviewedthebudgetYTD.WediscussedtheneedtodetermineareserveamountthatweneedtokeepinthebanksothatwecanreinvesttherestintoUHSH.Wediscussedthepricedifferenceformoregames,orlongergamesinJVandmoregamesinVarsity,themainconcernbeingcanwegettheice.ShannonsaidtheCamiisconfidentshecangetmoreice.MikemadethemotionthatweincreasethegametimeforVarsityto16minuteperiodstobetterutilizethecurrenticeslots,Jasonsecondedthemotion.DuetothewaitingperiodincludedintheupdatedP&P’swillnotbefinalizeduntiltheJunemeeting.

Schedule:Asaboard,wehaveprovidedCamiwithalistofleaguewideblackoutdates.Eachteamcanrequestfouradditionaldates.Eachdatecountsasaday,weekendwillcountastwodates.ThelistprovidedtoCamiisincludedattheendoftheseminutes.

TheideawasdiscussedagainthatJVteamsbeabletocombine.TheabilityforJVteamstocombineduringtheregularseasonwouldbeapositiveforthemostpart.Anyteamsthatwantedtocombine,wouldneedtobereviewedandapprovedbytheboard.BrianmadeamotionthatwediscussthisinJulybeforewedeclareteams.

GoalieClinics/Camps:ChrisWwillbehavingthegoaliecampagainthissummer.Datesarepending.Hewouldalsoliketocontinuethemonthlyclinics.
