Kao Ching-yuen the founder was born into poverty in Syueji.
Leaving the school and worked until he joined Taiwan Spinning in
1954.
In 12 years he reached the managerial ranks.
Uni-President Enterprises Corporation (UPEC) was founded in
Yongkang District, Taiwan City in August 1967 with his
acquaintance Wu Hsiu-Chi

It signed a deal with America’s Southland Corporation to bring its

Uni-President was Taiwan’s leading food manufacturer by the end
of the 1980s
5 years after the company's foundation was built, Uni-President’s
first international venture happened.
Built their first instant noodles factory in Thailand.
Just three years later the company expanded into the US.
Built a similar noodles factory in Los Angeles
The company established a process in which they built a sufficient
scale of export business in markets before localising production in

Logistics, Retailing and Investment
Under Food Manufacturing are: Dairy and Beverage Group,
Provisions Group, Instant Food Group, General Food Group,
Consumer Health Group
Outside of the Food Products Sub-Conglomerate was the Logistics
Sub-Conglomerate.
Including 51 wholesalers and 133 retail chains spread across
Taiwan, distributing the products not only of Uni-President but
30,000 other manufacturers through the country’s largest route-to-
market system
