How to get here
By train and tramTravelling by train to Sheffield is easy. We’re on all the mainline routes across the UK. From the train station there’s a tram roughly every ten minutes to campus. The journey takes about ten minutes. Get the blue line towards Malin Bridge and ask for a ticket to the University.
Our student ambassadors will be at the train station all day so if you need any help, please ask them.
By coachNational Express nationwide coach service has connections from around the country that stop at the Sheffield Transport Interchange, Pond Street. Megabus Coaches also stop at the Meadowhall Interchange which is accessible by Supertram from the city centre.
By carIt can get very busy around campus and we encourage visitors to use the tram or train to park and ride. For locations and prices see: www.sheffield.ac.uk/visotrs/mapsandtravel
There are a range of parking options available in the city centre. We recommend checking the Sheffield City Council web pages for travel, parking advice and a map of public car parking available at: www.sheffield.gov.uk/home/parking
There are also a couple of multi-storey car parks located on the University campus on Durham Road and Solly Street. Both these car parks are operated by Q Park – for locations and prices see: www.q-park.co.uk/parking/sheffield
Stay overIf you’d like to spend more time in Sheffield before or after your open day, we can recommend some great hotels, B&Bs and restaurants. This gives you a chance to explore the city further and get a feel for it. We even have our own boutique hotel, Halifax Hall Hotel. Please see our website at: www.sheffield.ac.uk/visitors or www.welcometosheffield.co.uk/visit/stay
