Natasha Prudent Malmin
Georgia State University | Georgia Institute of Technology Joint Doctoral Degree – Public Policy
I am a doctoral student within a joint public policy program at Georgia State University and Georgia Tech. I received a BA from Denison University in chemistry and an MPH from Emory University in global environmental health. I worked for seven years within the field of public health prior to entering the doctoral program.
My specific research interests include social vulnerability, disaster response, community recovery, and long-term resilience. I am interested in the use of mobile phone technology and the opportunity to create diffused
knowledge infrastructure, emergency communication, and the monitoring of disease clusters. I am also deeply interested in the nexus between governance, health systems, and crisis management
