Awards of the Kola branch of PetrSU

The Kola branch of PetrSU has got the second largest number of students among the universities of the Murmansk region and first among the 27 branches.

2009 - the prize winner of the contest "Gold Medal" European Quality "" in the “Top 100 universities in Russia"

2010 - 4 educational programs were included in the 1000 best educational programs of higher education in Russia.

2011 – the prize winner of the "100 best universities in Russia" at the “The Branch of the Year - 2011“ nomination.

2011 – Prof. V.A. Putilov was awarded the sign of honor “The Director of the Year 2011"

cooperation with foreign higher education institutions in Germany, Sweden and Norway.

International educational projectsIn 2009-2011 the Kola branch of PetrSU actively participated in three long-term projects:

1. The High School of Applied Sciences of the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Hamburg, GermanyDirections: Natural Sciences (computer science, chemistry, physics), engineering sciences.

2. Land Union (KIEZ), Germany. Directions: research and education projects, sports, culture, arts, ecology.3. Harstad University College,Norway Direction: social work.

Cooperation with international organizations

Ongoing work with international organizations, programs and funds:

EU programs (Tempus, Erasmus Mundus); DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service); IREX (U.S. State Department); CIMO (Centre for International Mobility in Finland).

«The Skolkovo School» is in the Kola branch of PetrSU

In September 2011, the "Skolkovo" foundation announced a competition in the development of advanced concepts of pre-school and school education as a prototype for the future schools (“The Skolkovo School ").The concept of “The Skolkovo School Apatity" proposed by the Kola branch of PSU was evaluated as one of the best.

School № 5 in Apatity is the basis for the institution of a new type. Establishment of the future school is planned for 2013, with the assistance of the KSC of RAS and "PhosAgro.”

Sport and recreation 380 full-time students are engaged in: Cycling club "Apatite"; Sections of athletics, skiing, volleyball,

basketball, orienteering, swimming, boxing and other sports. Students and staff of the Kola branch of PetrSU are among the top athletes, champions and winners in Murmansk and Russia.
