October’s Quarterly Breakfast Thank you Synergy Billing ...
NEW …
Tuesday Leads Group now meets at 7:30am at Simply Gina’s on Ridgewood Ave & 9th Street.
The largest number of first time attendees was at this breakfast mainly to hear Robin King of Career Source Flagler/Volusia. Robin gave us many employment statistics and also mentioned many of the services that the agency offers to companies.
Any business that has employees can avail themselves of Career Source’s services. Due to the low unemployment rate, companies are having problems hiring good help, why not let Career Source help you!
Synergy Billing was the morning sponsor, and Jayson Meyer spoke about the company’s progress and their move into Holly Hill. Some photos appear in this newsletter.
We thank Bishop’s Glen for their great hospitality and of course the wonderful breakfast!
Thank you D R Horton Did you know that D.R. Horton is America's largest new home builder by volume. Since 1978, D.R. Horton has consistently delivered top quality new homes to homebuyers across the nation. Their livable floor plans, energy efficient features and robust new home warranty demonstrate their commitment to excellence in construction.
We are pleased that they have come to Holly Hill. Mirage Townhomes is a new townhouse development By D.R. Horton currently under construction at Primo Court, Holly Hill. Sales for available units range in price from $189,990 to $199,990. Mirage Townhomes unit sizes range from 1671 to 1840 square feet. There were two models available for members to see at the October “After Hours.” One feature that all the women loved was the fact that the washer dryer were upstairs by the bedrooms and bathroom. Stop by and take a look, tell them the Holly Hill Chamber sent you. Want to host an “After Hours” next year? Call the office 386-255-7311

Thank you party for 60th Anniversary Club Members The first 10 members who pledged to be part of the “50th Anniversary Club” were invited to attend our first “Lunch with the Mayor.” Also on hand was city manager, Joe Forte. The luncheon was the first of quarterly events to thank our 60th Anniversary Members. It was a great opportunity to sit down with the City Manager and Mayor to discuss all the things that are happening with the city. Everyone had the opportunity to ask questions in a small friendly environment.
We plan to hold these lunches quarterly and would love for all of you to join us at one of our future dates. The “60th Anniversary Club” was started to help defray the cost of the investment made for our new “data base/website.” and to be able to do many needed things in the office to help provide better services for our members.
Lunch was provided by “Mozzarella Fellas” and there was enough pizza to feed a small army and as always, it was delicious. We thank them for their donation.
It has been an interesting 60 years and we thank all of the wonderful members we have served.

Big news …………. The Holly Hill Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Affinity business unit within LegalShield Business Solutions. Visitors to the Chamber’s website have a direct link to the Affinity Partner website. The site has valuable information about the legal service plans available from LegalShield. Chamber members who enroll can receive a special group rate. For individuals and local businesses desiring more information, schedule a meeting with Terry Cain Tyler, LegalShield Independent Associate, 407.443.7211. She is a Chamber member and the Benefits Specialist/Owner of TCT Advantage LLC. Remember, businesses with 5 or more employees may offer LegalShield plans as a voluntary benefit with no out-of-pocket expenses. All direct or group enrollments benefit the Chamber through a commission sharing agreement.
Trunk or Treat ….
We thank all our members who participated this year!
If you missed it this year, we hope to see you next year!
What’s happening around town ….. US1 in Holly Hill is getting known as “The place where the locals go to eat.” Fraze’s Scratch Cookin & Simply Gina’s added two new great places to eat in Holly Hill in addition to Mozzarella Fella’s and Mi Hogar that joined earlier this year. There is always something good to eat in Holly Hill.
Florida Health Care’s new building is really taking shape - it looks nothing like the old Suntrust Building. Florida Health Care Plans is one of Holly Hill’s largest employers and we appreciate the fact that their Home Office is here in Holly Hill.
John Penny Allstate was fortunate to hire Karen Gerber ten years ago. Karen just celebrated her 10th anniversary with John and still loves her job. Congratulations Karen.
Synergy Billing may not look like much on the outside, but it is the “state of art” on the inside. It is hard to believe the transformation.
How much dirt does it take to fill a hole? I am not sure but the Pickleball project is fascinating to watch at this stage of the game. It seems they have to level the whole area and that is a big project by itself. When it is done, it will be one of the biggest attractions to come to Holly Hill.
Madden’s Ace Hardware purchased the property next door to them to expand. They already re-furbished the building and it has become their Home Office.
To all our members on Ridgewood Ave, PLEASE plan to string some Christmas Lights on your building so we can “Light up Ridgewood” in celebration of our 60th Anniversary.
PS— If you need lights, Madden’s Ace Hardware has them.
Remember to BUY LOCAL!!
