Are We There Yet?....
Posted by Javier Garcia on August 22, 2014 at 5:02pm
Have you ever been on a long road trip with small kids? If not, I definitely suggest you give it a shot
one day and hit the road with the little ones. It’s an adventure!
Several weeks ago, my wife and I decided to take our three girls to the blue waters of the Pacific
Ocean in Southern California. The hotel and beaches were amazing, and our kids had a blast.
However, the entire 12 plus hour drive to our destination was filled with the almost synchronized
chant of our girls saying “Are we there yet? What about now, are we there yet?
We responded as any other loving parent would respond, which was “No, so stop asking and go
back to sleep.”
As frustrating as my girls’ question was, it’s probably safe to give it a little more attention.
I don’t blame the girls for their relentless demand of answers. They were, after all, asking a valid
question that deserved an honest explanation. As I think about the question “Are we there yet?” I
ask myself if I could have done something to prepare them for the long journey ahead. It’s
possible that a detailed roadmap with landmarks, highways, and other signs of where we were at
every step of the journey could have made it simple for the girls to predict if we were closer or not
to our final destination. Instead of “Are we there yet?” the young voices may have said, “Daddy,
we are almost there!” See full story
Are You Covering Your Assets?

Disturbing cyber security threats are making the news headlines on an increasing basis, causing
companies across all sectors (including the oil and gas fields) to reassess how secure their data
and operations really are. Successfully handling security in the oil and gas field involves some very
distinctive challenges as you well know. A grave error being committed by many companies is the
failure to properly evaluate the risk of a cyber-security event in how it will affect the company in
the amount of time, expense and labor; not to forget reputation. See full story
Gasland 3
Posted by Steve Burnett on August 19, 2014 at 1:11pm
What about Gasland 3? Where could Josh Fox find some more naturally forming methane to
blame on the "fracking" industry so he could whip up the fractivist zombies? After all, facts, and
scientific data are not part of the Gasland agenda. So why not blame the natural occurring
methane in cows on the fracking industry? Think about it, Gasland 3 could still build on the Josh
Fox trademark/signature flare up of methane, albeit the methane is a natural process in cows (a
small trivial detail). Nevertheless, as Gasland 1 and 2 have proven, a big and unexpected ignition
of flames is always a powerful zombie instigator.
I am confident that at least some fractivist zombies, and probably most, have no idea that
methane occurs naturally in cows (the same way it is a natural forming gas in some water
reservoirs). Imagine the film drama the ignition of cow gas would create. See full article
