The History of Robotics

Organization

The different types od robotics

Robots today are a very

big part of society There are

many different ways that they

help in our everyday lives For

example Irsquom sure that everyone

of us has ridden in a car bus or

train Well many of the parts

are made by robots The same

goes for our computers Anoth-

er field that robots are actively

integrated in is medical Recent-

ly the first 100 robot surgery

was made In cases like those it

allows a patient to have life-

saving surgery even though the

surgeon is unable to be in the

operating room Robots are

also used in the military Using

robots allow for less men to be

on guard and shooting They al-

so use robots

to control airplanes so less lives

will be lost if it gets shot down

Robots also currently are getting

progressively more human-like

For example a robot named

Geminoid F created by Hiroshi

Ishiguro looks and makes facial

features like a human (in fact his

wife) Geminoid F can even

ldquotalkrdquo (with a person actually do-

ing the talking and the robot

making it seem like itrsquos doing in

on her own) and ldquosingrdquo Not to

mention the robots that are on

people meaning robotic pros-

thetics There are fake limbs out

there that attach to nerves so

that the person controlling it can

ldquofeelrdquo what itrsquos touching

The future for robotics is

very bright With new develop-

ments coming up robotics will

just continue to climb higher and

higher Who knows maybe in

the future wersquoll all have robot

housekeepers in our daily lives

(the Jetsons anyone)

Overall robots have a

positive impact on society They

basically go hand in hand As the

world gets more and more com-

plex and advanced so will robots

and how much they are integrat-

ed in our lives and the world

We can safely say that the tech-

nology field of robotics will come

closer and closer to home in the

future
