Direct the Voter to use the second Touchscreen.
Make sure both ends of the Printer power cord are plugged in completely; and the Printer is powered on.
Make sure the headphones are plugged into the correct port, and plugged in completely.
Make sure the Touchscreen Printer cable is plugged into the Printer. Activate new Accessible Voting Session
ensuring that “Enable AVS Controller” check-box is selected when activating.If the Printer is out of paper, contact the ROV
Help Desk for further assistance.
Make sure the ATI cable is plugged in securely.
Give the Voter the three following options on how to proceed: (Record which option the Voter selected on the Voter Options Tally sheet on the Official Table.)
• The Voter may leave the Polling Place and must return by 8:00 pm; and
• The Voter may call (510) 272-6933 with any questions and concerns.
• Offer the use of a replacement Touchscreen and explain that it may take up to two (2) hours.
• Offer a Paper Ballot and offer assistance.
• OFFER the option of voting at the Accessible Voting Location. Find the location on the Polling Place lookup.
• Offer the option of voting on a Touchscreen located at the Registrar of Voters’ Office, 1225 Fallon Street, Room G-1, Oakland, CA 94612 (Public entrance on 12th Street).
