Dear Fellow Teachers,
I’ll be sharing with you sample task cards in teaching Science Grade 4. You can use this research - based instructional materials in order to enhance your teaching skills and to make your teaching – learning process more interesting and enjoyable.
This material is designed based on the idea of KPUP- knowledge, Process, Understanding, and Process skills in order to develop the critical thinking skills of your pupils where they can easily apply the 6 facets of understanding (explain, interpret, apply, have perspective, empathized, and have self-knowledge).
In addition, you can also use the different task cards as intervention materials in order to assess the written and performance output of your pupils.
I hope this ready-made instructional material will help you a lot and also will improve the academic achievement of your pupils.
Thank you and God Bless us all!

CHALLENGES Ahead!
Have you seen masons and carpenters working in a construction site? What do these people build first? To make the house stand, they used posts or steel bars. These serve as support of the house in order for it to stand firm or strong.
Did you know that your bones are like posts and steel bars used in building houses? They serve as framework so that the building will stand. Likewise, your muscles are like hallow blacks, gravel and cement. They serve as wall to protect your belongings. Amazing isn’t it?
On the other hand, the bones and muscles inside your body work together and perform specific task so that you can enjoy different activities like playing, dancing, running, walking, writing, and many more! Furthermore, the bones in your body cannot move by themselves. They are dependent on the various muscles found in your body. You will find out more as you perform different task and activities provided for you.
Let’s start by connecting which of these pictures represents bones and muscles of your body.

This time, let’s talk about your muscles.

Do you know that the bones in your body cannot move by themselves? They are dependent to the different muscles in your body.
Can you imagine how you look if you are just bones? That is why the different muscles in your body make up your muscular system.
