? Question of the WeekAs disciples, we are both salt and light.
Are there times when your life of faith seems bland and dim? What brings you back to a life filled
with flavor and brightness?
Notes from Fr. DelRenewal Through Outreach
I hope you’ve been following the bulletin and web site regarding our Week of Renewal, March 5-12. This retreat is one of the most creative, hands-on retreats that I’ve ever seen planned. Faith Formation & Outreach Commissions have been working on a retreat that is both reflective and practical in the way the Gospel forms us as individuals so that we can have a positive impact on our world.
Gathering with other St. Veronica parishioners, we will have the time to visit a variety of people and organizations who host outreach opportunities to those in need. What I most appreciate about this week of renewal is that there are opportunities for people of every age in our parish. There are 12 sites (City Gospel Mission, Bethany House, Hope Lodge, La Soupe, Matthew 25 Ministries, Otterbein Village Skilled Nursing and Rehab Neighborhood, People Working Cooperatively, Ronald McDonald House, St. Leo Parish, St. Vincent de Paul Choice Pantry, Tender Mercies, Veterans Hospital Fisher House), where parishioners can offer their service, taking our faith in practical ways to those in need.
If you have not yet signed up, please do so in the Narthex after Mass, or go to our parish web site for more information and sign up.
Italian Feast and Art ShowAs part of Catholic Schools Week, January 29-February 3, parishioners are invited to an Italian Feast in the Cafeteria on Wednesday, February 1, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The annual Art Show will be held the same evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. It’s a great evening.

FREQUENT CONTACTS
Renewal through Outreach: St. Veronica Gives Back!(March 5-12, 2017)
From March 5 through March 12, all parishioners are invited to join together in a unique renewal opportunity.
Renewal is meant to stir the flame of the Holy Spirit in all of us, empowering us to live, teach and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others with new energy and enthusiasm. The opportunity to practice this Renewal through active involvement with those disadvantaged in our neighborhoods and community is an exciting step for St. Veronica.
How will it work? Parishioners will come together on Sunday, March 5 to pray and reflect on the call to service in our community. Then we will be sent forth to help at one of several social service agencies in the Cincinnati area on a day the following week. Finally, we will come back together the following Sunday, March 12, to share and reflect more deeply on the encounters we’ve had and how we can bring that spirit with us beyond the week.
Who can participate? Families, individuals, groups and parishioners of all ages are invited to participate and grow together as a parish. The outreach opportunities will all be tailored to meet the wide range of needs and abilities in our parish.
Sign up NOW! You are now able to sign up for a specific outreach opportunity with one of the groups previously published.
2017 SUMMER FESTIVAL PLANNING MEETING
Please mark your calendars to attend a planning meeting for the Festival on February 9, at 7:00 p.m., in the St. Kateri Room. The Festival dates this year are June 23-June 25. Planning makes for a successful event. We need to fill several Booth Captain positions and we are always looking for new ideas.
We will be offering a $25,000.00 Major Award Prize this year. Tickets will be available by March, so plan to get your tickets early. Last year, we sold out.
We are also looking for new Festival Chairs for the 2018 Festival. If you have great (or even good) organizational skills, why not put them to the test?
For more information about the meeting or the Festival, contact Chuck or Carol Glaser at [email protected], or call 576-1453.
TAX STATEMENTS FOR 2016
If you want a statement of your 2016 donations for tax purposes, please contact either Carol Glaser or Mary Beth Dawson at the Parish Office. If you contribute through Faith Direct, they will send your tax statement.
