September 11, 2016Twenty-fourth Sunday

in Ordinary Time“This is why humility, spiritual poverty, is so precious:

it locates our identity securely in the one place where it will be safe from all harm.

If our treasure is in God, no one can take it from us. Humility is truth. I am what I am in God’s eyes: a poor child who possesses absolutely nothing,

who receives everything, infinitely loved and totally free.” (Fr. Jacques Philippe, Interior Freedom)

2ND COLLECTION FOR 2016 LOUISIANA FLOODS: Over the last couple weeks, we have seen the terrible news of the historic flooding in Louisiana. The region has experienced what is being called the worst domestic disaster since Hurricane Sandy. As many as 60,000 homes have been damaged, with nearly 20,000 people being rescued from the flood waters. Lives have been cruelly altered. As a result, St. Joseph Parish is participating in the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ emergency collection to assist the victims of the 2016 Louisiana Floods the weekend of September 17th and 18th. Please give generously to this effort.

PUMPKIN SHOW SLUSHY BOOTH: Believe it or not, Pumpkin Show

is just a few weeks away! As we do each year, we need volunteers to

operate our parish Apple Cider Slushy Booth. If you are interested in volunteering to help,

you can sign up online at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040f4bacac29a75-2016.

Thank you for serving your parish family!

PUMPKIN SHOW PARKING IS FULL! We regret to disappoint you, but all of the Pumpkin Show

parking spots at the parish were sold before we even had the chance

to advertise!
