When he was born
Magellan was born in 1480 in northern
Portugal. His parents died when he was 10
years old. He served as the queens page.
Magellans First Voyage
Magellans first went to sea in 1505 when he
sailed to India with the fleet of Francisco
de Almeida, portugals first victory to the
country.
The Voyage Begins
Magellan was the first man to sail around
the world. In 1519 magellan set sail around
the world. Magellan brought 240 men whith
him and a fleet of 5 ships.
The Purpose Of The Voyage
The purpus of Magellans voyage was to
finde a faster way to get to Asia. so he
desided to go the opposite way. And that is
the way he discovered the earth was
round.
Who He Sails For
Magellan sailed for Spain but before that
he use to sail for porchagal. But he got in a
fight with the king so he decided to sail for
Spain In the navy instead.
What They Brought
Magellan brought weapons food water and
other supplies whith him. Magellan brought
1,000 swords, 60 crossbows, and 120
spears.
What Did They Eat
When Magellan was around the spice
islands he ran in to mini tribes. The tribes
gave him and his crew so much food that
they could have food for an entire year
with out runing out.
What Was The Weather Like
Magellan and his crew had nice weather
through the entire trip. It was sunny with
just a couple clouds.
Impact On Us
Magellan has a huge inpact on us. Because
he was the first person to discover that the
world was round. If he did not set sail on
his great adventure than we could not
know the world was round.
Interesting Facts
On the voyage Magellan named the Pacific
Ocean which means calm and peaceful.
Another interesting fact is that Magellan
had to arrest most of his crew members
because they wernt lisning to his orders.
How he died
he died. His crew disided to just through
him over board and not have a funeral for
him.

Magellan died on the shore of the spice
islands ween he got in a fight with some
natevs. He got shot with a poison Dart in
the foot and
